If you're lucky enough to get a waterside table, then you can't get better than this. The Italian food is pretty typical, with a decent choice, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable, given the location. The views of the old waterfront buildings and across the...bay are magnificent, whether day or night, so well worth reserving a table at the front if you can.More

The waiter is extremely rude. He snatched the menu whilst I was reading. This restaurant is connected to the restaurant next door - Spalato. They share the same food and waiter. Furthermore, the food is very cold and not fresh.

After a bit confusion wether tables on the shore side were reserved or not. The owner had to intervene and somehow we got a table. We had a really nice cheese and ham platter for starters and then a great scallop ravioli. The food was...perfect and the service was nice and professional. It is really a lovely place to eat, and fun to look at the beautiful people driving and walking by.More

We had dinner here the last night of our stay in Villefranche and it was the perfect end to our vacation. Fresh seafood and pasta dishes, excellent wine - if you reserve in advance and ask for a table on the waterfront the atmosphere is...especially lovely. Highly recommend!More

Came here with 2 friends for lunch. Excellent staff very friendly. All 3 of us had dorade fish with vegetables and we had a couple of bowls of fries with it. Food excellent, service excellent, overall 10/10 and not expensive :) ...

We were tendered in Villefranche on a very rainy day in October; as a result, many of the bistros and wine shops tucked away from the harbor were closed when we arrived looking for a leisurely lunch. Luckily, Trastevere was open for business and we...were immediately seated at a table on the quay - even more luckily we caught a break in the weather and were able to enjoy being seated along the waterfront during our meal. We loved the food - the portions were so much larger than we expected them to be, and everything we ordered was off-the-charts-delicious! The foie gras was divine ... the escargot was tender, served with a tremendous garlic sauce; the steak tartare and beef carpaccio were just amazing and both came with a salad and wonderful frites, which were flavorful, lightly fried, and dusted with just the right amount of salt. Service was very good - attentive and helpful without being intrusive. And we appreciated very much our server verifying that we knew exactly what we had ordered - I have to assume they must have many guests who aren't aware that escargot are snails or that beef carpaccio and tartare are served rare / raw. The only reason I didn't give the restaurant an excellent rating is because when we tried to pay, their machine refused to accept all four of our credit cards. Those same cards worked fine everywhere else we visited in Europe, so I have to wonder what the problem was on the French Riviera. And who knows what would have happened if we had not been carrying a fair amount of Euro that day so that we could pay in cash. Apart from that, our lunch was wonderful and we enjoyed every moment - definitely recommend for anyone looking for an accessible, authentic French cafe with great food.More

Believe it ... we DO know. Fabulous food, superior staff, and perfect view too!!!! We ended up here for most of our 60 nights in VFsM on this year’s trip to our favorite French village — first, due to easy access with a broken ankle...and once mobility improved, totally by choice! Wonderful experience - saved our trip! Great restaurant. Don’t miss it!More

Was in Villefranche on my own and had an excellent meal and half bottle of wine. Good food and friendly staff. Returned two days later for a pre departure lunch and was not let down.

We enjoyed our meal here - food was superb - mussels were incredibly good - small, succulent, tender - grilled whole dourade was flavorful and cooked perfectly - nice Bandol rouge to top if off. Highly recommend! Thomas our waiter was a delight.
