We had lunch here today, in Feb 2019. I had the 'Plat de Jour" which was fish fillet with a varity of mediterranean vegetables. Thinking it was the Plat de Jour, the fish would be fresh, (especially as it was in a village right on...More

This is a regular haunt for us in winter, one of our favorites. Just a E1.50 short bus-ride from Nice, its worth the trip. Go down the steep steps on the right hand side of the ancient fort and walk the medieval path along the...More

Lou Bantry, situated right in front of the water offers fantastic service and food. All the waiting staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is exceptionally good - the ravioli from Nice is fantastic and the beef is melt in your mouth. The Fish...More

We stopped in Villefranche realizing many places would be closed on a Monday in December. It was a sunny Monday and we chose Lou Bantry after seeing some if the plates being served. We were greeted warmly and the service was great. All three of...More

We found both the food and the service to be very good. There is something magical about dining al-fresco, looking out over the sea, and Lou Bantry "ticked all the boxes". Good value for money - for the region - and well worth a visit....More

From Nice we took the bus to Villefranche for a visit. After a good walk, we ended up here for lunch and a cold beer. The waterfront tables are extremely nice. The food is ok but the view is amazing. The staff was nice and...More

On the 3rd day of our Villefranche month, we tried this restaurant by the harbor. Frito MIsto was supposed to be fried seafood, but tasted like burnt charcoal. Service was slow. Sorry to say we never went back.

Lou Bantry is based right next to the sea in Villefranche, so the atmosphere and view is fantastic. Our waiters were very friendly and helpful, and since we had booked we had a table outside with a view of the sea. The food was very...More
