We had placed a reservation for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. When we arrived, a gentleman (the manager) greeted us coldly. The meal and the dishes served were quite good. The wine, expensive, but very good. The service a little too long, and especially after...45 minutes of waiting, do not ask why ... The director will again be very unpleasant. Too bad, this place deserves a manager who lives up to the promises of this restaurant.More

What a meal. The food was superb. Duck and vegetables-every single item was simply amazing. Chunk - no knife needed because it was so soft and tender. Tartar - seasoned to perfection. Sea bream filet with lemon ravioli -special, different and fabulous. It is a...savioury mix of ingredients and food accompanied with excellent wine.More

Enough variation in the menu. Cozy atmosphere but rather crowded. Very pleasant and attentive staff. We left feeling content.

We had a wonderful meal at this beautiful restaurant. The view is indescribable. It’s so picturesque! My husband had the seafood stew, which he loved, and would get again. I had a lasagna, which was extremely tasty, and I would also get again. The American...coffee and mint tea with chocolate is also very good. The staff speak perfect English. The next time we are in town we will for sure eat here again.More

Coming to St. Paul de Vence without a lunch reservation was a big mistake and we did that. But we were lucky enough to find a table (though inside) at this lovely restaurant and we enjoyed our experience a lot. Though the restaurant was full,...the service was pretty swift, the ambiance was nice, the food not disappointing. The prices were of Côte d’Azur standards. The demand for the outdoor section looks like high, but I would nevertheless recommend to sit inside as the atmosphere is better there.More

Excellent food let down by the service. It was very busy but it’s not a place you feel especially welcome.. from the few minutes wait before they look up and make eye contact on arrival to the almost impossible task of making eye contact again...when you are seated.More

Stunning restaurant with amazing food and professional staff. Although we haven’t booked a table on a Friday evening the staff made an effort to accommodate us. Although the restaurant was full, our orders came in time and it was delicious. Everything was tasty and to...our full satisfaction. Thanks a lot!!More

Hungry with no plans happened on this nicely situated indoor outdoor resto in charming St Paul de Vence and nabbed a table indoors looking out over veranda seating and town gate structure. Our service was prompt and effective even as the spacious courtyard dining space...and then the rest of the indoor space filled rapidly. Servers scurried about tending to tables hopefully as efficiently as with ours but I could see how the servers and kitchen might become a little stretched as rapidly as the tables filled. Nonetheless our service as stated was efficient if perfunctory - not a place to engage servers in discussions about wine nuance or product procurement or kitchen technique - and our dishes were a bit surprisingly given the highwire circus on display before us very nicely executed. We would not hesitate to return. Le Tilleul is up to the task of bringing a fine meal to hungry tourists in a storybook setting.More

We sought refuge here on a very rainy day. Had a lovely time lunching at this restaurant. Tried the salad niçoise which was very good. On a sunny day I bet their terrace is fab.

I had dinner with my family in this beautiful restaurant twice during my holidays on Côte d’Azur. The food was incredibly good, as were the wine and the desserts. The waitress were well prepared about everything and the location was so nice that I wouldn’t...go away. Really suggested! Only problem: you have to book a table minimum 2 days before!More

Sadly not what it used to be. Over the last couple of years things seem to have gone downhill both in terms of the quality of the food as well as the front of house reception. Our experience with the waiters and waitresses themselves has...been excellent but it always seems as though it’s the front of house always wish they were doing something else instead of welcoming you to the restaurant. Specific examples include 1- The two last visits I requested and confirmed specific tables, to find that they had already been given to someone else when we had arrived. 2- The cheese on the goats cheese salad was flattened to a pancake and oily instead of its previous light fluffy and crispy texture. We have been loyal customers for 6 years now and are saddened by the fall of quality.More

My boyfriend and I ate here without a reservation, as the manager was kind and offered us an early table outside. The food was perfection, unforgettable fois gras and a very good steak entrecôte. But the 5 stars go to the superb service all around,...very friendly and professional waiters. Great experience!More

Food excellent but.... the restaurant, on the terrace, is overcrowded (with waiters unable to serve the people beside us without leaning over our table. We waited 25 minutes to place our order and only managed because we asked to order! Same for the couple beside...us. The food came quickly and was very good, but then it was another 20 minute wait for our bill. Prices aren't cheap but they're not outrageous either... probably why the restaurant is so popular. We wouldn't visit again.More
