Beautiful spot to grab a beer, friendly staff. On the other hand, the menu in between meals (in the afternoon) is really poor. I had a Salade Niçoise and it is a "revisited" one, with a poached egg and the thuna has a crust of...CURRY. Literally couldn't eat it. My boyfriend had a Tartare de bœuf and it made him sick. One sick person and a hungry one for 50 euros, simply not worth it.More

We ate here 20 years ago in October and this restaurandt made me fall in love with St Paul and the entire area : a great meal, some wine in a quiet setting under the limetree that lends its name to the restaurant what more...can you wish for. We now retunred in august and the place is overcrowded, it's almost impossible to get a table, the waiters are snotty, the foods is average and there's just too many people on a small terrace especially in these covid times. But St Paul is so overrun by tourist that any place fills up. I doubt it whteher we will retun in 20 years time :-)More

This restaurant is very very well positioned and that might be one of the reason that it has a lot of customers. Food is really good and tasty and even though it has lot italian influence you can get a good french plate. The service...is good and they also speak good english. Prices are quite high but you also get good quality on the food and also being in a good location. Definitely I would recommend this place to my friends.More

In the tiny village of St. Paul de Vence lays a small restaurant called Le Tilleul! This place is surprisingly good offering appetizers, main dishes and desserts that would compete with most restaurants in Nice or Cannes. Service is friendly and fast. The steak tartare,...foie gras cuit au torchon and crispy goat cheese salads are simply delicious! Their wine list has a good variety with prices varying from 30€ to 75€. I will be back for sure (photos attached)More

We came here for my friend's birthday and got put on the best table in the house on the little stoney path (even though they seemed to have lost our reservation from the day before which was a bit touch and go!). We were given...an amuse bouche, some sort of cheesy pastry thing - very nice and also some lovely salty crackers with olives whilst waiting for the mains. This was on the house. I had the cod (perfect tasting and perfectly presented) and my friend had the clams linguine (also very nice and al dente). We were having such a nice time that I thought blow it I'll have a dessert. Molten lava cake is my absolute weakness and I decided on that long before they asked me. Very unusually, to sell you on the desserts they bring out replicas of each dessert (very strange) under a piece of cling film which kind of makes the desserts look a bit plastic and puts you off! I shouldn't have gone for it because it was rock solid and boiling hot (clearly been cooked earlier and shoved in the microwave for10 seconds). Lava cake also should take 25 minutes as it should be cooked from scratch but this arrived within the same minute I ordered. All in all lovely evening but skip dessert and just stick to mains. Lovely atmosphere and the wine was tops.More

We sit in the restaurant at our preferred table at the side of the restaurant apart from the main seating area Looking at the hot people who turn up at 1 pm not having booked - sorry full come back in 2 hours another Hour...passes the same people return , hot , sweaty , any tables they plaintively ask - book in advance learn From our mistakes we were the couple not having booked . Calamari to start , then pasta with clams ( very good ) tiramisu or pannacotta , as dessert - all good Service on the ball , under the wonderful spreading lime tree that provides a natural shelter from the August sun As the Americans might say - enjoy - and then a little walk looking at the sensational views all around youMore

St Paul de Vence is lovely village, but very touristy. So when all the shops/galleries were closing and I had two extremely hungry (grouchy) pre-teens we thought IF we could get into a restaurant, and most were 'complete', we would have to settle for a...meh meal and poor service. We came across Le Tilleul and reluctantly asked for a table for 4. We were told none available, only inside. Inside was fine for us! We had a lovely table, and though it was very warm, were were fine with our amazingly nice waitress and surprisingly fresh and tasty food! I loved the menu, and it was tasty and a lovely evening.More
