I really enjoyed my time at le Morrea, the food is great and the landscape is near the port. Very good environnement and not that expensive.

There is a huge choice of restaurants along the front at St Laurent, and the conventional wisdom - pick somewhere that looks a popular choice with locals - turned out to be a false friend. The food was indifferent, limited in choice, high-priced, and the bill was bumped hugely by lack of an affordable wine option (no carafe/pichet -cheapest white... More

3 of us came for lunch, I had tuna carpaccio starter which was delicious, the wife had fried fish also delicious, for main we shared a mixed fish and meat paella, it was over cooked so cannot rave about it, the places decor is 1980s and all looks slightly tired. The staff were very friendly and the total came to... More

This is one of two excellent restaurants in the Port de St Laurent which are much the same. We visited Le Moorea in January - a lovely sunny day so we had a table outside. Although one sits on the pavement by a service road, the marina is just the other side. The planes fly only half a mile away... More

I either go to the nearby Santana restaurant or to La Moorea and I have been going here for 30 years, and enjoy the consistently high quality of mainly fish dishes. The fish is very fresh, and cooked with a Provencal style. The a la carte menu is truly superb but then so are the variable choice "fixed menus" that... More

Two Kir Royales to get going, one Gambas risotto and a sole meunière followed by a delicious nougat concoction, and an ice cream for me. We enjoyed a bottle of Puilly Fume, an Irish coffee and a late. Total bill € 179. Not cheap, but well worth it.

We stumbled upon this restaurant unexpectedly, thinking we'd walk down to the Saint Laurent harbor area for a quick sandwich. The salt-encrusted sea bass was delicious, and we had fun feeding the birds bread crumbs. The waiter was outstanding, guiding we two tired Americans through the menu.

If you are looking for both good seafood and red meat, this place is excellent. I ordered Pan seared scallops with truffle sauce and mashed potatoes (yumness itself!) and I also tasted the Bouillabaisse, one of their specialties and extremely tasty. The desserts are home-made. I'm not much of a sweet tooth but the Profiteroles were delicious. Expect a generous... More

nice seafood, fishsoup, shellfish, salads with fruits de mer together with a good wine of the VAR (Chateau Rasque) and a friendly service makes this restaurant worthwhile to visit. Two remarks, clean the shelfish properly because there was too much hanging sand and the cheeseboard was a bit meager, oly parmesan cheese.

I have to say I had such high hopes for this place. The menu outside promises to deliver excellent cuisine. The prices are extremely high so I expected good standards. My dish was lovely. Tornados Rossini steak cooked perfectly medium rare. However the other members of my party were left disappointed by some very dry dishes. Fish that was not... More

Description
This chic seaside restaurant, located on the Port St-Laurent-du-Var near Nice, is run by renowned restaurateur Marcel Marro and enjoys picturesque views of the harbour. Infamous for its high-powered crowd of politicians, socialistas and business barons, Le Moorea has a superb summer terrace filled with buckets of fresh flowers, wicker furniture, crisp white linens and couture-clad clientele. Head Chef Olivier Milon is much-loved for his assured French cuisine, and signature dishes at Le Moorea include the spaghetti with langoustines and clams; the veal kidney casserole; and the delectable trio of crme brulee for dessert. Le Moorea also offers an impressive French wine list.
