We had a lovely meal here with friendly efficient service so not sure where the other reviewers ate - particularly the one who claimed he was on the seafront!! Grimaud is a historic atmospheric village and this restaurant is in a good spot elevated from square and with nicely spaced outside tables and soft lighting. This was the first time... More

We booked a table at the harbour front restaurant in a place to be seen only to find when the very expensive meals arrive mine was still partly frozen, and I had ordered the Lobster, one of the most expensive meals on the menu. When I told the waiter, they didn't flinch, just took it back and put it under... More

It was like being I a smokers' den, We have been going to this restaurant on and off for at least fifteen years but tonight will be the last time. We were seated outside (as usual) but from the very start our group of four were surrounded by smokers and the meal for us was completely ruined. Cafe de France... More

Grimaud is a charming village on a hill with views down to the sea. Unfortunately, we fell into a tourist trap and made the mistake of having lunch at the restaurant au cafe de France. The plat du jour appeared enticing but proved to be inedible. We noticed (too late) similar reactions to our own from neighbouring tables. I guess... More

We come here every year as the food really is fresh and fantastic and to sit outside the resto is just lovely and typiquement provencale! My only negative would be the service, which seems to get more aloof each year. I remember when we started eating here and the parents/owners worked and they were exceptionally welcoming. Now it all feels... More

We went here for dinner last night, family of 5 (3 teenage sons). We were greeted with smiles and seated straight away. The menu had plenty of choice to cover all preferences. Wow, the quality of the food was superb. The best we've had in the area in the 14 years we've been holidaying in the region. The service was... More

We enjoyed two lovely dinner at Cafe de France with our little daughter. They were very welcoming also for the little one and the food was very nice. It is nicely located at the place neuve which also offers ample parking. The daily 3 course menu for 28€ is excellent value for money.

We had Sunday lunch with another couple one Sunday in June. The cafe is very friendly and the food was delicious. One pair both had the tuna sushi timbale, the other pair both had tuna nicoise. All well cooked and local, Provençal food.

Freshly made Provencal cuisine. We had Salad Nicoise with perfectly cooked fresh tuna and a tuna tartare made exquisitely with exactly the right mix of flavours. The service was courteous, efficient and welcoming. The view over the wooded hills towards was lovely and from the elevated terrace we could enjoy a bit of discreet people watching. The set menus were... More

The village of Grimaud perched high on the hill is pretty and this restaurant is fantastic. Cooked to perfection steak and great ambience. Staff efficient but not over friendly. Would recommend as seems consistent.
