Food very nice and tasty, cozy atmosphere, employees really friendly and gentle! Price very low compared to the other restaurants in Nice. Higly recommend!

I was craving for thai food since we where in the south of France and we found this place which is not far from our hotel. The place is pretty small but they are real thai people which is very appreciated because most of the...time so called thai restaurant are not owned by real thai lao people. Dishes were good even though they missed some stronger flavors... I guess they have to deal with the fresh herbs and other spices they can found to cook their dishes. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside. Quick service and accommodating in terms of adjusting the spiciness of the dishes. Portions were good. If a light eater, can consider sharing a main dish and add on appetizers. They also allow “at the...table grilling”. Nice! Friendly and attentive staff throughout our stay. the meat balls were EXCELLENT, the shrimp brochettes generous, beautifully cooked BUT next to the meatballs they lacked flavour we opted for the generous grill option, great fun, surf'n'turf tender squid, tough beef, BUT the dipping sauces were insipid. we had to ask for soy...and siracha. we didnt feel we were getting a taste of thailand at all, a marinade or even a few drops of sesame oil would have lifted it. BUT we will give it a second go.More

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident and I’m really glad we chose to eat here. The staff were friendly and attentive without being too pushy, they were happy to speak in French/English which was a nice touch. I’ve eaten a lot of Thai and...SE Asian food and this was very tasty without being too heavy on flavours, so it was a nice balance. We had the pork spring rolls to begin - these were really well cooked and had a beautiful tangy sauce to go with it. For main I had the chicken pad Thai, a classic. This is definitely one my favourites, however there was quite a lot which meant I couldn’t quite find the room for dessert. Maybe next time :)More

Lots of choice & decent wine list. Opted for mixed tapas, satay & prawn tempura- all good. Ribs & pad Thai for mains were flavoursome & plentiful. Grille was the big surprise, mixture of meats & seafood that you cook on grill at table. Cool....Enjoyable experience. Very popular with Thai customers.More

Came here a couple of times and just wanted to let you know that Som Sanook is serving really excellent quality of food transformed into superb dishes. The speciality is 'grill-your-own' seafood, meat or vegetables but don't skip the delicious soups or desserts. The famous...mango/sticky rice decorated as a flower was my favorite. There is an outside sitting area but inside it is far more cozy around the fireplace while watching the meat sizzle. Servings are really generous and prices are very fair. We also had a very friendly waiter helping us with making our choice. This is a place that makes you feel that you will be coming back soon.More

Brilliant food that tasted very authentic! Like we were back in Thailand. We had Green Curry and Pad Thai. Both delicious. Only negative was took a while because Deliveroo orders were coming in.

We visited Some Sanook during our trip to the French Riviera and really enjoyed the food. They customised a Thai green curry with veggies for me as I'm vegetarian and my travel companion had a melange of seafood (shrimp, calamari, fish and also some veggies)...on a grill with rice. Spring rolls were yum too. The place is reasonably priced (with 4 dishes and a glass of wine each was under 55 euro). Good meal!More
