We made a reservation and were promptly seated. It’s prime season and the restaurant was full and waitstaff were running to keep up. Ordered the 3 course price fix and was pleasantly surprised. The fried calamari was light and delicious. The Salmon entree was also...very good. My son had the rabbit and enjoyed it. Dessert was also good. Service was on the slower side but not because of lack of trying. The waitstaff was working very hard to keep up with a packed restaurant. I would definitely recommend eating here. It was one of our better dinners in Nice.More

Had the special, which was fillet of sea bream, on mashed potatoes, and our party also had the salmon. Both delicious. Also had profiteroles and the creme brulee between us. Recommend all! Great spot.

Given the location on the tourist strip, surprisingly good, delicious food (with tourist pricing aka slightly higher than normal). Service was slow but friendly when available. Our server was working hard and in our case delivered 2 meals that were practically finished eating before the...final two arrived. We also received our apps before receiving our drinks. In my opinion, the owner is either raking it in by over working his staff, or possibly they were short staffed as there appeared to be only two servers looking after a very large patio area (including one group of close to 20 people).More

We visited the restaurant three times. The salad for lunch was very good and the local white wine good. The menu was very interesting and we saw another table eating a roast lamb dish. That evening we returned and had the lamb together with a...local recommended red wine that was excellent. The third time we booked and were a little disappointed that the table had been double booked. We were given another nice table and we had the lamb and roast rabbit both excellent. They use a wood oven for the roast. The patron did give use a digestive to compensate for the booking mix up. The staff are attentive and helpful. Definitly not a tourist joint.More

We had dinner in Le Safari. Just main course, the steak was a good size and cooked as per asking. The Nicoise Ravioli was very tasty. Both dishes were only lukewarm when they arrived. The service was extremely slow. The dishes were nice but nothing...special. Decent dinner but nothing too memorable.More

We dropped in here dead tired for a lunch. We wanted to sit inside but they said no, so we ended up in the windy outdoor area. We had a daily menu and one pizza. The food was fine but the attitude of the staff...was just OK. I would give 3.5 points.More

Recommended by our local tour guide, this was a really good place for lunch. We had the appetizer sampler and the beef ravioli split between the two of us, as recommended by our nice waitress and we were very happy with it. Glad we came....We sat inside unfortunately since it was a beautiful day, but it was still really nice.More

Shouldn’t really complain, we know better than to expect decent food on this street. But we wanted to sit in the sun and just eat anything, having just got off a plane. Waitress was great, menu was average , with same dishes served everywhere in...Nice. We had the gnocchi and the local dish of daube with ravioli nicoise. Food was average, not much effort put into it. Service time as ok. Very busy, with not enough staff. Average price for that street. Wouldn’t return, so many better options on the quiet streets behind it.More

Apart of being dishonest and given change back with fake euro notes, the food is less than average and expensive

Without any reservation, we walked in on a sunny afternoon. We read its review (12 out of 20) in the recent guide 2022 Gault&Millault. We were seated in the 2nd dining room in the back (not tops, but hey the restaurant, more like a kitchen...factory has more than 120 seats). The menus were brought over quickly by a nice young man -our waiter; He was definetely a plus in this whole experience turned bad. On the menu. they were 3 dishes no longer availble (bad for a Saturday lunch, with Sunday lunch yet forthcoming). The food was ok, certainly not warm enough brought over to our table. One was a plate of different hors d'oeuvres. No dessert (ah, I did not mention the rather long wait) this time. We would rate this 8 out of 20, and definitely no longer a mention in any new restaurant guide! And they are much better restaurants on the same "cours" in Nice. The only thing that saved our lunch was our very friendly waiter! Unfortunately it was not his fault of the missing menu items or the tastiness of the food.More

I chose this restaurant because of the menu and it seemed to have the best choice of Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered the fisherman’s soup which was absolutely inedible! I asked the server for a description of the soup which was simply fresh fish. It smelled...and tasted of rotting fish and much like fish fertilizer that I use on my plants at home! I’ve just completed a French cookery course in Brittany and we made two versions of fish stock, so it’s not that I don’t know what a fish soup should be. I have never been served anything so bad anywhere in the world. I come from the Caribbean and I am well experienced in making fish soups and stews. The service was poor and I felt that this restaurant was such a disappointment. I asked for the bill and was charged for this meal which I could not even stomach two mouthfuls. Just awful!More

Very good beef stew and the artichoke appetizers. And la creme de la creme - creme brulee! Delicious! The location is interesting - in an open air market - and the service very pleasant!

Our first stop when visiting Nice and the experience was a good one. Outdoor seating, undercover, and on the square and very pleasant. Service was good, prompt and polite. We all opted for pizza which were served quickly and were all delicious, particularly the pizza...with burrata. Good food and good value. Certainly a place to revisit next time in Nice.More

I have eaten here a few times and it is always very busy with tourists and some locals. My experiences have been mixed and it did not work for me this time. Of our 4 dishes the vegetarian pasta was rated as good though the...pasta vongole was hard work and did not get finished - same thing with the fried seafood main though the last dish is probably better as a starter. From my experience it is better to go here earlier in the evening - for this restaurant we ate late - and hopefully our next visit will hit the spot. 4 mains and a drink each came to c100€. We have enjoyed lunch here before so next time lunch it is.More

Never had to book a table. And 7:30 is fairly early, so you should be OK just turning up.
