A group of four of us were looking for somewhere to eat on a Monday night (when restaurants are often closed) when we chanced upon this bistro. Our ages ranged from 23yrs to 90yrs, and despite having different tastes in food, we all found our meals to be fresh, delicious, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. Service was faultless and... More

A small restaurant just a block off the tram line, this is one of those places that serves ONLY their dish of the day (at least for lunch when we went). So if you don't like it, then you are out of luck. That day it was beef carpaccio and salad. Very good quality, very fresh, and reasonable. It has... More

This was the worst meal we ate in nice, it is really far from all of the tourist areas, and the walk to it was pretty scary. On to the food. The tomatoes in the mozzarella & tomatoes appetizer were over ripe to the point they were mushy. In addition there was a scoop of green tea ice cream on... More

This is the most disapponting experence i had since i use TA for my frequent trips ( more than 5 years now). I went with frinds on saturday night and immediately felt the need to leave. We sat outdoor. The furniture is just horrible: table and sits looks from a waste landfill (old plastic and broken chipboard tables). The owner... More

My wife and I really enjoyed this place! No menus - all written on a chalk board - the owner is the chef, waiter and only one working. He managers the service very well considering its all him. The food, quality and taste is excellent - we had three courses and enjoyed them all. It's not your main stream place... More

Simply a fantastic little find in the neighbourhood. Visiting from London, we have not been all that impressed with nice's restaurant offerings. We were staying nearby and happened upon le Bistrot du Marche and it's charming vintage decor drew us in. The owner was there on his own and was very friendly and welcoming, and explained the menu really well.... More

Le Bistro du Marche was great. Such a relief to discover as we found the food in Nice (especially in the old town) to be quite drab and uninspiring. Old fashioned actually! We happened to pass by and first impression was how sweet it looked. The eclectic mix of 50's retro and old farmhouse tables drew us in. On appearing... More
