This wasn't really a restaurant and not sure that I could see it being that way during more food oriented times. Instead I would bill this as a sole proprietor wine shop. There were a few Oenotheque machines which suggested at one point he prob ran more of a wine bar, but he mentioned that at this point he uses... More

Stumbled on this place walking in Old Nice, couldn't have had a better experience. Renato and his staff made us feel welcome and at home. Not only was the food world-class, but the wine pairings were excellent, the service was gracious, helpful, and informative, and we were invited to tour the 'cave' (wine cellar), which was amazing. We finished the... More

A group of seven professional friends travelled across Europe and ended up stumbling across this gem. It was the most quaint, intimate dining experience we had. The food was exquisite and the host/owner made the experience the highlight of our 3 weeks in Europe. He gave us a personal tour of his wine cellar, and, after dinner we had the... More

Noticed the set lunch menu as we were strolling by, it seemed interesting so we sat down at a table outside. What a pleasant surprise, Fantastic tasty food, attentive service(water and bread replenished without us asking) and the best value for money in Nice. Highly recommended, we will definitely visit again.

Excellent service, friendly staff and great recommendations for the specials of the night. The wine is worth taking a look at - exquisite selection of wines to chose from to have with dinner or to take away. Thank you!

Some Fridays this little cave puts on a jazz evening. We have been twice and enjoyed the music. However, on an impulse we stopped here one evening for a glass of wine and a plate of cheese and ham after the cinema. The proprietor seemed a little preoccupied but brought us two small glasses of wine and eventually, a platter... More

We were extremely lucky last night. We booked dinner here and it was a special evening with a meal with wonderful wines. The food was lovely and the wines were spectacular. We started with Pinot Noir 2002 champagne de Dehours, ended with a Sauternes from 1938, or nectar of the gods my husband called it, with a Pommard and Phillipe... More

We came across this charming cavs de vin whilst walking near Piazza Garibaldi. It was a great find and we were welcomed in a very friendly manner by the hosts. We shared a delicious plate of cheese and charcuterie accompanied by wines chosen for us after we gave our tastes. I spoke a little French and our host a little... More

I was extremely disappointed by the overall experience for what should have been an intimate meal with friends enjoying a selection of good wines to taste. Staff were friendly enough but with each " delivery" ( it wasn't served) of the wine to taste there was no explanation of the wine beyond the region and the type. At 30 euro... More

I discovered this great Wine Bar by accident. It is just off Place Garibaldi and therefore very central. The guys who work there (Renato and his team) were so friendly, and the range of wines outstanding. I actually went back twice, as the relaxed atmosphere and warm welcome were so inviting. Great little tapas, and the team are extremely knowledgeable.... More

This is a great wine bar, centrally located, with an incredible array of fine old wines to buy or enjoy in one of their comfy armchairs. They provide complementary hors d'oeuvres, but also have tasty local dishes if you want a proper meal. Jean-Claude, Renato and Remy are some of the most welcoming and generous hosts we have come across in our travels in Nice.
