Stopped for lunch after walking from Villefranche. Well situated on quayside of port. Bruschetta was good but not excellent. Husband enjoyed croque monsieur and it was nice to get freshly squeezed orange.
I visit Nice often and have recently discovered this great place. I had food and some wine there and it was so good I did something that I hardly ever do, which was to post a picture of my meal. It was duck - perfectly...cooked - with a slightly spicy sauce, honey and apricots. Heaven on a plate. Other customers also looked very satisfied with their meals. Combined with the friendly staff, relaxed ambience and great views of the Nice harbour, this is a place to visit ..check it out when you are in Nice ..More
We had lunch here on a Saturday and tried a few dishes, the cheese & meat platter, the salmon and the beef tartare and enjoyed them all.
To add to the good food is the views of Castle Hill and the harbour, which remind you...that you’re in Nice.
I’d definitely visit here again if in the area.More
We had lunch in O'point'u. The weather in December was amazing and we were sitting in the sun enjoying a beautiful view if the boats. The cheese plate and a Canada salad were delicious and the rose wine was very nice as well. The service was...friendly. We can definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place near the harbour with an outside terrace.More
Lovely place, lovely people, local clientele. Food is good enough but it's not served to attract tourists.
They serve breakfast all day including omelettes for just E 5,50. My wife had a decent hamburger and while the fries were't freshly cooked and a bit oily,...they weren't frozen either. The buns were very soft with a "Brioche" lke texture, a nice salad and the burger, nice and jiicy had a subtle sauce instead of mayo or butter.
They had run out of Tartare de beouf, I had the roti beouf which was okay, served with an interesting potato and courgette melange in a yellow sauce.
As there was sauce on the paper thin beef and dressing on the salad, there were too many tastes for me.
But the highlight was the meeting of the locals, enthusiastic conversation preceded by "Three kiss" friends including a local fisherman fresh from fishing.
Maybe this place packs the tourists in in the summer, but now, (March) it was strictly local.
So it's worth seekng out.More
