Imagine the best duck you ever had and multiply it by 10. That's what you will experience if you visit La Route du Miam which owes its success entirely to their world renowned duck and extremely charming hosts rather than to location. But anyone who goes will not regret the extra few kilometres it takes to visit this “heaven for... More

This place is a gem that you wouldn't find without the internet and all its glowing reviews. My boyfriend and I both love duck and he can eat for England so this place was perfect. Very generous portions and exquisite food. A must visit if you like both great quality food and plenty for your money. They also stock variety... More

Tiny tiny restaurant (4 tables, 10 places) run by a super nice couple - she does the waiting, he is the cook. Local food from south-west of France...specialized in duck. Dishes are big and delicious. This is a place to try a simple, warm and nice place. Comfort food is delicious...

I echo all the previous reviews, the food is spectacular, the wine glorious and the hosts are legends. The only thing that could spoil this in the years to come is if it becomes too well known. So please don't go as we're going back next year.

If you dont like Duck. If you dont like fais grais If you dont like good wine If you dont like good hosts. Then dont come here. This had got to be the best meal I've ever had, and likely ever will have, and I'm not even exaggerating. I've pondered visiting Nice again just to eat here. There's not a lot of room but there's a lot of heart.

We had such a wonderful evening at La Route du Miam. We were lucky to get a table (as it was late and restaurant was full) but Marie welcomed us with open arms and advised that we could wait a short while until a table became available. Marie was a perfect host, so friendly and funny. As previous reviews have... More

If you love duck, this place is worth a pilgrimage. The food is magnificent and features dishes from southwest France, true to recipes Jean Michelle, the chef-owner, learned from his grandmother. Bring an appetite, as the plates are inspired by holiday fare and include a large portion of some of the best fois gras du canard. The front is intimate... More

Our friends living in Nice took me and my friend to dinner here. The descriptions and pictures didn't do it justice. The place is small and unassuming. The owners are full of passion and kindness. And of course, the food is out of this world. No matter what you like, for your first visit you must try the special duck.... More

I find interesting that the absolute majority of the "terrible" reviews on this establishment are Nice based....perhaps jealousy that the #3 "tripadvisor" in Nice is not a Côté d'Azur style restaurant. Nice is packed with great joints for great food. At the same time, true foodies are also looking for an experience and we got exactly that...off the beaten track,... More
