Calm, with just the clanging of the tram, this pavement brasserie serves very a reasonable plat de jour for lunch and a la carte favourites all day. Being just next to the fish counters at the daily market, there is a good selection of oysters and other shellfish. My sister had an impressive plate of spaghetti with shellfish and I... More

Friendly. Food good enough. Not special, but good. Four entrees and bottle of Tasquier for 96 euro. They were out of all specials by our late arrival, but that's because it is popular.

Seafood isn't as easy to find in Nice as I expected. Brasserie Le Gambetta not only service excellent seafood, but serves it in a genuinely friendly manner. This restaurant seems to be a local favorite frequented by the citizens of Nice. Located off the beaten tourist path, my family was one of the very few English-speaking guests, but communication wasn't... More

We spent 3 nights in Nice and we went there for dinner on 2 consecutive evenings 😊 the number 2 and specialty oysters are excellent! The lobster is probably one of the best - very juicy and sweet. Servers are very friendly too. Dinner for 2 between 75 to 80 euros.

What a fantastic evening having the Royal Plateau and just found out that this was better than any see food plateau I have had in my life Fresh, lot of everything, and served by a very nice staff with humour and style. Will go there soon again and can highly recommend

Lovely food tonight at Le Gambetta. Excellent prawn starter followed by Sea Bass (as fresh as a fresh thing) and seafood pasta (truly marvellous). Deserts equally tasty - opera gateau and tarte tatin. Staff attentive and friendly. What more could I ask? Nothing really this meal proved that we have to stay in the EU!!!!

We stumbled on this restaurant, following a lovely train trip on the narrow gauge up to Entrevaux. We liked the look of the restaurant and the menu. Unfortunately they didn't open the restaurant until 7pm and it was now only 6pm. No problem for the friendly and helpful staff. They allowed us to choose a table and served us drinks... More

Excellent service by the train station. The oysters are superb and a good price for nice. The platters are of excellent size and value. The wine selection is decent and a good match for the food. I would say that the clientele are local as opposed to tourists.

We had lunch at the Le Gambetta on a Monday, at the beginning of Janaury. We were three and we did not have to make reservation. We had lunch inside but there are tables also outside. The place is nice and the people serving has been kind and helpful in helping us in the selection of the food. We have... More

I thought for the oysters,4 would be my limitation. However, at Brasserie Le Gambetta, I had 9, so tasty with a very reasonable price. The service is warm but not over. The seafood pasta is a recommendation. It costed 68euro for our dinner including drinks.
