We stopped for socca with a glass of rose and it was delicious. Then we ordered two noisettes and tourte de blettes and we waited and waited. When I said to our waiter that we ordered coffees and a desert he brought two normal coffees....More
We tried socca a couple of times during our time in Nice, however Chez Pipo is by far the best! They also have some great wines on offer.
We arrived just after the place had opened and it filled up quickly so I would definitely...More
The specialties of Nice such as socca, pissaladiere, tourte des blettes, are all here to be savored. What’s especially enjoyable are the four different kinds of socca: anchovy, parmesan, tomato, and green onion. Along with a half bottle of house rose wine you are quite...More
We ordered pissaladiere and a simple portion of socca but after waiting for more than 40 minutes the socca had still not been delivered to the table. We were not even offered an apology.More

It's just a misunderstanding between you and the Manager. We always tell every single client the waiting time for socca when they arrive and before seating. It was about 45 minutes for you and he is sure that he has told you. The 10...More
We enjoyed our meal here and would recommend it if you are in Nice. I would say it is a lunch place, not dinner. Also, get there early (before 1pm) if you are hoping to get a seat inside. They do the socca in batches,...More
I met a lovely local lady on the flight over to Nice who recommended Chez Pipo. She told me they offered many of the local Nice foods and that we should try it. You can't book the restaurant but were pleased to arrive and be...More
Being a tourist myself, of course I wanted to try out something local. And so Chez Pipo was recommended by our host. And it exceeded all our expectations! Excellent selection of dips and Socca bread variation. Highly suggested with rosè wine. Delicious! We paid 30eur...More
Chez Pipo is the Nice cliché ... said to have the best socca, and a handful of other Nice specialities... It didn't disappoint -- we went back twice for more of the delicious socca, accompanied by a green salad and a couple of glasses of...More
