We visited la canne a sucre on our finial night in nice. The visit was a disaster from the min we sat down. The toilets where disgusting and the restaurant was particularly clean either. The waiter ignored us, when he did finally take a drinks order he was rude and didn't seem like he could be bothered! We ordered steak... More

This is a delightful cafe/restaurant. We only stopped for a drink and were made most welcome by the owner. There was mixture of people drinking, dining or just having an Ice cream. There was a pianist singing wonderful stirring memorable songs. The owner was very funny. You don't get characters like him anymore.

We were hungry for pizza. Seated inside by the hostess. Waiter TOTALLY IGNORED US.No greeting, no water, not even menus. A French couple walked in 20 minutes after us, greeted, menus, and water appeared within nanoseconds. The waiter seemed to not like Americans. I would never recommend this place to any foreigners.

Our final dinner in France before returning home the next day and my hubby had "best meal" of our holiday. Being a fussy eater he loved his meal of Schnitzel, chips with sauce and to his surprise a strawberry milkshake. I ordered a pizza which was very filling, tasty and good value. The service was excellent and we were impressed... More

Great little cafe on the sea front, staff speak English and they have a English menu. We had ham baguette, Mushroom omelette, fresh orange juice & glass of larger. Cost Euro 20. Very friendly staff give them a try.

Like some other 'reviewers' we were staying at the adjacent Hyatt Regency and found this restaurant on our initial walk along the promenade. The menu is not the largest but had sufficient options for two or three nights. Service was excellent with a most charming waitress and the food, on the two occasions we ate dinner there was both plentiful... More

Small place, great taste. They surprised us with fast service and good flavor. Their menu has a little bit of everything... Pasta, pizza, desserts, you name it. The prices are relatively low comparing with other restaurants along the Promenade des Anglais. Friendly service made us came back more than once! Enjoy Free WiFi!

I stumbled upon this spot which was right next to my hotel (the Hyatt Palais on the Promenade) and it was just what I needed. I was craving an omelette with a side of mimosas and they offered it up at nearly midnight.

This restaurant has a magnificent view of the water and would be a great place simply to have coffee. However, I recommend that you have the full buffet for 10 euros with fresh-squeezed orange juice, strong coffee, an omelette & croissant. You feel like a local when you are greeted by the charming owner. It is a lovely experience.
