Overall very good, I had Magret de Canard and it was a full plate of Magret de Canard, potatoes and vegetables. Very cheap for quality and portions. Looks like a bar/brasserie but French orientated. I live at 50m around the corner and for sure come...More

Having an authentic local meal. The food, pastries and deserts are so beautiful. The vino is superb. Definitely gaining weight while here. Tonight, Cathy went with the duck stew and I went with a combination of meats. What would exceed $100 in the US, cost...More

Stumbled across this place tonight and we were delighted with everything. The cassoulet and the duck confit were excellent, the charcuterie a great complimentary treat, and the service just something else! Marie and her team were just great. A delightful traditional French restaurant.

My husband had cassoulet in Carcassonne and fell in love with it, so when we saw L'ovale had it while researching our Nice trip, we knew we'd visit. Here's the thing though, I'm a vegetarian who also doesn't eat cheese, so I thought I'd probably...More
