I visited L’inattendu several times since its opening and was always pleased with the excellent food and service. Its unique offering combining French and Japanese cuisine sets it apart and spoils you with choice. The Mediterranean classics are tried and tested family recipes - the...aioli (served on Fridays) is an absolute must. The Japanese menu is based on the owner’s extensive experience from years spent in Tokyo and a multi-awarded London based Japanese restaurant. If you are in the area: make yourself a favour and give l’inattendu a try. It always delivers.More

Stopped in recently for lunch and was fortunate to get a table despite not having a reservation. This is a restaurant that specialises in both southern French and Japanese cuisine. Many of the other patrons in the restaurant, seated around us, were enjoying what looked...to me like perfectly delicious and well prepared Japanese meals. My wife and I both had the reasonably priced, 3-course, daily lunch special. On this day our starter was a baked, Provençal vegetable tart, the main was coq au vin served with pasta and dessert was a mandarin sorbet with crème Chantilly and an accompanying biscuit. All courses were delicious, well portioned and as mentioned previously well priced. The meal cost just under 13 Euros per person. I would recommend this restaurant to others without hesitation. It's a little off the beaten tourist path but easily accessible by tram.More
