We went for lunch and had an absolutely fabulous time. Five or six choices per course, just 29€. Had starters of fresh crab and rabbit terrine. Then mains of filet of beef perfectly cooked to order with dauphinoise potatoes and trimmings and a massive prawn...and succulent sea bass filet with pretty courgette flowers. Paired with a bottle of Provence Valerie in honour of one of our mums. Perfect service in a cool, shady garden, full of locals.More

I have come to Menton for many years and just found Le Bistrot des Jardins. I discovered the restaurant on the Michelin Guide as it does not show up on Trip Adviser We went there on Friday evening 24th September, a wonderful experience. We both...had the crab meat & prawns with a great salad, the crab was great. I had Canette Duck breast(female duck) for main which I would highly recommend, my partner loved the veal dish with a mushroom sauce. We shared a mixed berry dish for desert. We had a nice Cote de Provence wine. If you like good food, this is the place. We will be back in January 22.More

Very poor service! Had to wait 15 min just to get the menus and over half an hour to order. Over all, we had to wait more than an hour to get our food. Drinks came very late too and we didn’t get our dishes...together. The duck was too salty and the pasta which came on a side was overcooked. Ice cream had pieces on ice inside, meaning it was too frozen. Waitress was super slow and very inefficient. Way too expensive for the quality provided.More

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and the cuisine is still of high quality. Last year they got their first Michelin star. Poor English, but the food is great, a pleasant atmosphere in a green garden, a quiet murmur of water...with floating goldfish. As enter I recommend the asparagus, and the main dish Cote de veau morilles. Bon appétit.More

A truly creative restaurant in a restful and beautiful environment. Sitting out in a secret garden and eating the most amazing dinner, it is a wonderful experience. Choose the well-composed menu and listen to the advice of the staff when it comes to choosing the...accompanying wine. It became one of the best tasting experiences in a long time!More

Polite staff - but not professionel, wrong glasses - serving from any sides, creative coarses, different and reel stuff - but made ordinary and without the last touch. Not so good as last year. We are disappointed

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch in the outdoor garden terrace. Excellent food with a very good menu choice. Attentive staff. Highly recommend.

We lunched here yesterday. The setting, in the restaurant garden, was very relaxing. The food was superb. The restaurant is obviously favoured by locals - always a good sign. The wait staff were generous if spirit regarding our poor French - speaking French but saving...us in moments of ignorance.More

This restaurant is in central Menton but, becasue of its garden, one would almost think it was a "country restaurant", The ambience is "refined and sedate" Not a place to bring young kids as the restaurant is patronised by mostly retired folks. The food is...excellent and the choice is varied.More

I fully respect a restaurant's preference for reservations. In France, in particular, we reserve most of the time, as a courtesy to the establishment and a confirmation of our desire to make and stick with choices. But that is a bit difficult when you are...traveling and uncertain of your arrival time. We arrived here at 1215 on a Friday and were told they were fully booked for lunch. Yet there were many tables in the garden that weren't even set up. In most other countries (Greece, Italy, the U.S. for sure), a manager would make some effort to accommodate potential customers. The impression is that if you aren't regulars, they don't care about your business. So, we no longer care about theirs.More
