We visited after reading positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Fixed price lunch menu was delicious and good value. I had the Assiette Provencale...a greatest hits of local dishes, which was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Around 20 euros per head for 2 courses and a drink. Would recommend.

We went to this restaurant following a recommendation. We made sure to try their famous Aoili which comes with white fish and vegetables. It was like being at my grandmother's house where everything has the bejeezus boiled out of it. The vegetables were so overdone and sad and the fish was tough as old boots. The Aoili was so strong... Stopped here on an off chance just passing. There were 7 of us and they were pretty full, but went out of their way to seat us. We had the daily menu which had lovely choices on it. The house red was lovely and had a perfectly cooked steak. They created a special veggie dish for my partner which was... More

Daily menu (so good and sadly not so often) Family restaurant. Perfectly cooked fish and Guinea fowl. Just go there, these people know what they are doing and offer a taste of la France.

It is said that French cuisine has improved all round the world, except in France. It is frites with everything. This is a humble little restaurant that is well worth seeking out in the backstreets of Grasse. Authentic and reasonably priced food, very well cooked.

I've been here twice (both times for the annual Alliance Française luncheon) and despite having to deal with a "party" of about 80 participants, the service and the food remained excellent. Not a "tourist" restaurant, Lou Pignatoun is mostly frequented by locals. It's a real gem, hidden on a narrow street in Old Grasse.
