Staying at chateau Eza for three nights, we fell upon La Taverne one lunch time. We decided to stop for some lunch and were seated promptly even though the few staff seemed rushed off their feet. The pizza was delicious as was the ice cream. All the staff were great. We went back for our evening meal and were very... More

Eze is a beautiful village. We stayed for week at Chateau Eza. We are accustomed to various levels of service in populated cities and remote villages. This was by far the most rude experience I have encountered in my travels. On arrival we went to the waiters post to ask for an available table. The waiter pushed past us without... More

I have never left a review so bad in my life. After walking in (we are staying in the village) no one greeted us. We asked for a table and were told to sit in the entrance. After 10 minutes we were not served. I walked inside and asked kindly if someone could take our order. I was told "wait... More

Nothing to impress here - straightforward pastas and pizzas. I'd recommend you go with the pastas over pizzas, which are somewhat soft and doughy. Good variety, easy preparation and appropriate for children and/or picky eaters. Nice to eat outside in the streets of Eze.

First we had to wait for our food for a very long time and once we got it it was below average, poor if you consider their prices. Apart from their food their service was disgraceful and arrogant. Avoid this place.

Overpriced pizza, salad, and wine....and seriously? How can u screw up pizza in Europe!? We were hungry & ordered the 18€ funghi pizza. It was worse than frozen pizza, if you can believe that!: the dough was soggy, the sauce had zero taste, and the "white truffle oil" was non-existent. The 18€ Sicilian vegetables was a side dish that would... More

In the heart of Eze village. You sit outside on the pedestrian street in a gorgeous breezy setting. Unlike the others there is no view but still it is so pleasant. Service is ok. The lady was nice the man not that much. Food is expensive! The Sicilian salad is good but surely not worth the 22 euros! Canned tuna... More

My dad ordered some pasta alla carbonara but got a dish of vegies. The waiter confirmed that the dish is called carbonara, when my dad said he didn't order the vegies. Facing such confidence, my dad wondered if he actually got the wrong understanding of the menu... (I was not there) He... More
