We were looking for a quick lunch after our beach day in Antibes and stumbled onto the beautiful square. Truth be told I was really looking for a take out option but we settled on this place. Took a while for service all around. Having...said that, our server was a friendly likeable guy but that’s really where to good vibes ended. The food? Poor - my wife ordered the Greek salad - not a single tomato, olive, peppers - it was just a bowl of green salad with a load of feta cubes and sliced white onion. My pizza was passable. Kids ordered burgers with no sauce and of course both came loaded with sauce. Table next to us loaded with well underaged kids drinking booze, smoking and swearing non stop. Would have liked a do over on this lunch overall.More

Disgusting rude service, average and overpriced food. As other reviews said - check your receipt! Tried to overcharge us also.

We had good pizza, pasta and salad. Reasonably priced. The service was swift and symphatetic. The waitinf for check out was a vit long. The location is good. Bathroom was clean.

Beware and check your receipt! I'm fairly certain the waiter had no idea I spoke passable French or would check my receipt. Just came for a single drink on a hot day- but two additional soft drinks were added to my receipt. When I called...out the waiter in French, he looked like he had been caught out and slunk away to correct the bill. Please heed of the many 1 star reviews and do not be taken advantage of!More

I don’t agree with the negative reviews of this place. Three of us ate outside and had a great lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered pasta dishes, which we enjoyed very much. I would go back again.

We called in as passing. The service was fine and we ordered our drinks and food. My wife’s food was fine but mine turned up and it was raw chicken. They offered to replace but at this stage my appetite had gone. I did not...pay for my dish but they charged for everything else. Raw chicken covered in a mushroom sauce - wow this was not acceptable on all standards.More

If you are looking for a great example of tourist trap where nobody cares, look no more. The setting on Place Nationale is idyllic but that is all. Bad, bland and uninspired food, sub par service. A complete no go

Terrible food, very rude staff, expensive prices. If I could give zero stars that would be more appropriate.

Waited 20 minutes to be seated after being told repeatedly we will be sat down, even though there was multiple tables free and they decided to seat us on a table that was not cleared, we proceeded to be sat with glasses and more on...our table for 10 more minutes in the end we decided to leave as waiter was not serving or paying attention to us at all.More

Surprisingly poor food. The hamburger bread was burnt black and the schnitzel was served with spaghetti bolognese, the fish was grilled dry.

I must admit, Antibes is a treasure of culture, sunshine, the wealthy and now after this experience the home of “Tub Sourced Beef Tartar”. More on that later. My partner and I have passed La Cameo on our numerous wonders around Antibes over the years...however it was only this time we decided to venture in. We had previously enjoyed espressos which were reasonably priced and rather delicious. With this false sense of security we decided to try the food menu out. As we weren’t particularly hungry so we opted for the Beef Tartar and Onion Rings. A perfect little snack we thought. What a mistake that was. The tartar had been prepared poorly and resembled Road Kill you find on the side of the M25, tasteless with no texture and smell that would put the most hungriest of dogs. The overpowering taste of tomato ketchup was an extreme surprise to us both. The chips were limp, tasted of old oil and the salad was equally as bad. To make it even worse the Onion Rings, (something that looked like it had travelled from a Burger King in Nice) cost us €10!! The waitress a fairly unpleasant women popped over to our table and seemed throughly surprised that we had only had 4 tiny fork fulls of our science experiment and asked what was wrong. We both stated that the Tartar was rather smooth… she replied saying that it has been been pre - prepared and most likely had come out of a tub. At that moment we knew it was time to cut our €32 loss and run. However before we could do that, we realised that we had been charged €6 for a bottle of water when we had not asked for it. We had specifically requested tap water, however the waitress brought a bottle and opened it on the spot and claimed we had finished it when we hadn’t. On that note we paid and left as quickly as possible. I am currently writing this 1 hour after that experience with a glass of Rose outside Cesars Caffe. A much better establishment! AVOID LA CAMEO AT ALL COST.More

Utterly one of the worst meals my partner and I have ever had. Where to start - ah the water - after asking for tap water we were bought a bottle which was opened for us - we thought oh that’s nice then realised it...was €6! €6 for water!? When we pointed out we asked for tap water the waitress said well we had already drunk most of it.. she opened it - what choice did we have. First sign we should have left. Then there was the €10 for onion rings - stupidly we thought these would be a large amount of freshly made onion rings but no - a handful of sad frozen processed rings - would have paid €4 max - there wasn’t even any onion inside! Then the final nail in the coffin was the terrible terrible steak tartar… I don’t know how you mess this meal up but they managed it. Firstly the steak was not chopped it was mashed - probably chewed by the chef and spat back out, mixed with what tasted like tomato ketchup and not much else - when the waitress asked how it was as we only managed about 5 bites and we explain what was wrong she basically said what do you expect it’s all pre-made… so kept in a tub somewhere on the fridge. I won’t be surprised if we get ill, a part of me hopes we do so we can rid our bodies of this terrible terrible meal. Looking at the pigeons eating cigarette butts on the floor I feel like they made the finer dining decision. Don’t eat here.More

The service is awful, we had to ask several times for bread. We had to wait over 30mns for our main course, no cutlery. The house rosé was watered down. The waitress was surly. The food is mediocre, the lasagne was obviously microwaved from frozen.unfortunately...because it’s tourist season, they don’t care, they pack in as many tables as they can, and can’t cope. Utterly terribleMore

Better service in a drive through. Absolutely awful. Poor service. They just rely on transient tourism. Avoid at all costs!
