A nice place greatly located

The place is really well located with a view on the bay from the terrasse. This is enough to give you a reason to go. This is known as a great place for beef... and one of us had a beef tartare which was pretty good. As for the pizzas they were ok. A nice place to be...

Good steak

We had dinner with friends in this restaurant in September 2017. Food was quality. In menu you can find lot of different beef courses - steaks, entrecote's, burgers etc from Wagyu, Black Angus, argentinian, uruguayan and local meat. We has took different dishes and we all were satisfied with them. Wine chart was weak - rather short and after this first 2 choosed by us wines were sold out. Bit disappointing for us (sommeliers). Although the restaurant was full (I recommend reserve table early), service was quite fast, but little bit careless. Young waiters/waitresses don't remember, who ordered what and for them it was easy and funny. Ok, no problem. We forgot these little troubles quickly, when food was served. Finally, they were simply young, positive and friendly people. NB! If you come by car, it's almost impossible to find parking place nearby. We were very thankful to restaurant manager, who sees our problem and has asked keys and park car (I don't know where) and return it back after dinner. Nice service. I recommend this place, if you are hungry and want a good steak.

Stick to steak and you'll be fine

We were walking by at lunchtime and were hungry but didn't fancy eating steak. My wife at Fish and I had the ribs. Both were OK but not great (overcooked) but the steak dishes being served on nearby tables looked great. It obviously makes sense to stick to steak. Does well what it says on the tin.

great location

Anyone that follows my reviews will know we are fussy eaters, expect great protein that is not hidden under sauces and only just cooked rather than nuked. The Salmon tartare here is good and enormous, the ribs are served in a tasty sauce but a bit dry and overcooked. I suspect steak is the house speciality. We will be back. for now, the jury is out as they say. Great location so we want it to be good.

I had one of the best South American beef steak

I always enjoy a great beef with tenderness and lot of flavor and on that lunch I had the best, the flavor was excellent, good served and I will deffinately will be back for an other try.

Tasty French meat

I went there with 2 friends around 2pm, they were still open and welcoming. We all took meat, my faux filet was amazing, I also chose the butter and herb sauce which was divine. The French fries were good as well. We paired our meal with a wine from Chili that was absolutely tasteful. We will be back for sure!

Great food in stylish surroundings

We headed here one very wet Saturday evening as it was nearer than the old town and we didn't want to get any wetter!! First impressions were very favourable. Dark red and black decor with hand painted bulls in display cases all around the walls with tables in booths and alcoves. We did not have a reservation but we were shown to a nice table with views across the restaurant to the window with the sea and the heavy French rain beyond. The staff were friendly and helpful. We started the evening with cocktails (Cosmopolitan and a Mojito). My wife ordered battered fish and chips, quite a surprise for a steak restaurant, and I went for a burger. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and well presented. All in all we had a fantastic evening and would thoroughly recommend Golden Beef for an evening out.

Great setting overlooking the sea. Service ok. That's the good points. The sirloin that that my wife and i ordered was so tough and chewy it was unpleasant. The sides were ok but the meat terrible. We didn't stop for desserts.

Really great, must try!

Really good restaurant, the best one we found our hole vacation. Good beef, good lasangne and really good dessert. The cheesecake was the best in all of europe! Service was super, both with the food and waiters. Best waiters in south france. Only minus was the atmosphere with the negative guests On table that sat next to they were so horrable and arrogant to the waiters that we felt so sorry for the staff, the staff did everything they could to make the guests happy and they still complained about the food, the view and that service was slow, and poor chefs, they send their lasanga back like 4 times because it was not good enough for them. I tough it was great, great taste, nice and hot og good flavours. So i think they were complaining just to complain. And after 4 min they complained again. Telling the waiter they havent got the lasagna they told the other waiter to make a new one of. Dont they know that it take longer then 4 min to make a brand new lasagna. We will defently come back to this restaurant for sure, only next time we will tune out all the arrogante guests/tourists at this restaurant.

Excellent Steakhouse

On reading reviews we were slightly apprehensive but the restaurant looked so inviting we thought we'd try it. We were so glad we did. It was excellent, we were seated in the smaller Terrace as the bigger Terrace with sea view was fully booked. We had the chateaubriand French fillet for 2 which was excellent and cooked to our liking. The service was also excellent by a very helpful waitress Celine. She was so helpful and if she couldn't explain herself in English she got another waiter who could, she also had a great personality. The desserts and coffees were excellent too. Would highly recommend and is easy to find near the Museum Picasso or walking from the old town to beach on the coast road you cannot miss it!

Start was good but was down hill after

Looks like a nice place, bit night club look. Had a cocktail and tasted of bath salt basically. Long wait for food and when it arrives it was mostly cold. Think they might of forgotten some chips. Beef was good though. The service was really bad took ages for them to cone to the table. I would not really recommend it. It could be so much better I think

So where do I start, the plants that smell like cats wee!!!! The service started off ok then went down hill very quickly, the green beans arrived cold. The steak arrived without the sauce . The plates where cold. The chips where lovely and the steak ok but nothing to write home about, so I am sure if you get looked after them everything is good if not don't bother you will have more fun burning 500 euros on a fire
