Located in the centre of the Old Town, on the Place de l’Horloge, the Le Cid provides a quiet retreat from the activity of the town’s main square. This café-bar provides a clean environment and good service; while the range of draught beers is rather limited - should that be your preference - the pint of Affligem I chose was... More

Prompt service on the outside patio . Great tasting crepe and pleasant seats in the sun! We stopped a couple of times during our stay in Avignon and found service and food consistent.

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. We started with two cocktails that were really good (expensive, though, 9.90 euro each), then we got two others that were amazing as well (I am a sommelier and I have experience in making cocktails, I know what I am talking about!). The croque monsieur was good, then we got a really good crèpes, expensive, but... More

Keen for an early start we were on the streets before 8.00am looking for a typical French breakfast. Many cafes were still getting organised but Le Cid already had a number of customers enjoying their coffee, juice and croissant. We joined them to find the service efficient, the food on par and the prices reasonable. As it met our needs... More

We stopped in here for lunch while touring Avignon on a very hot July day. It's on the Place d'Horloge where there are many restaurants. This one attracted us as it had a wide cocktail and sandwich menu and it was a good sign that many locals were eating there. The outdoor seating for the restaurant is mostly shaded by... More

We arrived very late to Avignon, this one was open... Crowded tables... but the place was 3/4 empty so no problem. Nice warm and trying service Good wine and very good cruti coques (a sort of toast/pizza) Reasonable pricing... Nice landing and start for our Provence vacation

We stopped here for late breakfast since the hotel had closed already. This is such a nice place for ant meal, located in the main square, full of trees, and sitting on the shade. Good service and reasonable price.

We sat outside on the terrace under the huge umbrellas, enjoying a fabulous Salade Andromaque (10.80 euros) and Salade La Tempete (9.90 euros), along with a couple glasses of chilled rosé. Cool, relaxing ambience even the place was packed with customers. Everyone was laughing, chatting, eating and drinking away! We loved the view of the historic Place de l’Horloge, watching... More

We have been here several times over there years and popped in for a quick drink I also ordered the assiette duo which was a selection of charcuterie, cheeses and came with a glass of wine, very nice they also serve Miraval wine which is a favourite
