We were there on a Friday night, so it was very busy, many patrons for very few staff. The staff are extremely efficient, professional, and friendly, you can't summon them the instant you want something, but they look over often enough. Food was great. Most...of the customers were locals and not tourists. We will certainly try this restaurant again if we are ever in Avignon in the future.More

The food was average, considering you are in France. The street setting smelt funny. The service was average. I would suggest a pass.

Food, service and ambience was horrible. Mains took too long to come and we noticed that they were actually ready - waiter just didn't know which table to serve to. By the time it was served ten minutes later, the salmon linguine had absorbed all...the cream sauce, noodles were fat, soggy and bland, and tasted disgusting. Supposedly medium-rare steak was medium-well and too tough. Seriously, don't bother.More

We passed by during the day on our way up to the Rue de la Republique and saw their seafood menu. We decided to try this brasserie that evening. Great choice! We each had escargots followed by a giant portion of Choucroute de la Mer...(fish, seafood, and sauerkraut), one of my favorite dishes in France. Both courses were absolutely excellent. Service was very good, as was the ambience.More

The appetizer was good but the main course, entrecote Black Agnus with sauce Cafe de Paris or Roquefort, was really bad. The flesh was full of tendons and the surface was burned to the ground, so that the knife could not do it. When we...complained about it, the waiter was very rude, he only asked: oh, wasn't it good for you and turned away. He was in no way trying to alleviate our disappointment. We have eaten in 79 counties and considered France a great food country. We still believe we can find good places to eat in France, but we cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

We had two great evenings here recently. Excellent oysters and moules frites and first class service. Comfortable seating and great location for people watching.

Super food. Extra friendly staff, especially Leila. Good service and hot food as it should be. Will call again next time we are in Avignon.

Located across from the tourism office and close to our hotel. There was a torrential downpour of rain at the time and so we headed to this restaurant simply because it was close. What a pleasant surprise! Large portion sizes! Extremely fresh seafood. I had...a beef stew as my main course and it was superb and my husband had a steak that was excellent. The staff was very attentive and worked hard to serve our needs. We left at the end of a long, enjoyable meal happy.More

We ate here for dinner and it was truly awful. My husband ordered the chicken. When it arrived it looked dry and solid. He called the waiter over and demonstrated how dry and inedible it was by knocking it on the plate. Then my steak...arrived. Again it was like leather and full of sinue . I also asked for it to be cooked rare and it came well done. When I showed the waiter he tried to tell me that it was rare. When we got back to our hotel and told the staff where we ate. They said they were not surprised and that it is not a good place to eat. Please do not eat here. You are wasting your money and it really is horrible food.More

Dear customer, we are sincerely sorry for this bad experience, and we did everything possible to satisfy you. You first asked for just « chicken and green beans » and were gently advised that it will be too dry without the special ´grandma ´ sauce and mashed...More

Our large tour group practically took over the inside of the small restaurant. The food was good, and the staff worked hard to take care of our large group. Service was slow at times, but this could have been due to the size of our...group.More

I had the lasagne which was very meaty. My husband had the scallops which he said were good but not very hot. It was crowded and the tables are close together. For the area, the prices are inexpensive.

You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. I went there every evening for dinner mainly because they offer an endless variety of salads as well as hot and cold meals. The place is spotless, the decor is very inviting. However, what I loved most is...that being Canadian, I am not used to having a late dinner. This place welcomes you from 6 pm on. Merci!More

We had dinner twice at this restaurant and we want to go back again in future! The seafood is very fresh, the oyster and mussels are the best! So as the French onion soup and other dishes.

This restaurant is directly across from the tourist office, decided to stop on the way back to the hotel. You can eat inside or at the sidewalk tables and we chose to eat inside. The service was very good. I had sauerkraut with pork, sausages...and potatoes. My husband had soup and the cod fish with potatoes. With a bottle of Mineral water the total bill was about 51 euros. Portions were large and well prepared.More

The waiters were very rude (by any standards). We had to wait over 40 minutes for the food that came all together- no starters or mains. The salads were stale and the burger was rare - although we asked for a medium. We didn’t stay...for desert or coffee. Unbelievably disappointing and bad experience. Would not (!) recommend.More
