This restaurant was recommended in our guide book. We tried to go one night but but was fully booked. We decided to try again later in the week and made a reservation. It was definitely worth it and one of the best meals we had. The food was delicious and the whole experience was very enjoyable. My duck was cooked... More

The service is great. We were greeted and served by a lovely English lady (presumably the owner). She made the whole experience very enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about all the food and was able to recommend some nice drinks to start. We don't eat dairy and had struggled at times to order in restaurants who did not know what dairy... Cannot fault this place. A hidden treasure. We went here for a birthday dinner.Perfect food , excellent service. The owner knew her stuff to a tee from the types of wine for the food choices on a great but small selection menu, was very relaxing nothing was too much trouble and our party of four including our friends from Denmark... One word.... Amazing, we popped in to book a table as the restaurant opened at 6.30 we came back at 7.30... The host was so welcoming and explained all about the menu and wines, the food was outstanding, what we liked the most was that they didn't over book or rebook any tables albeit loads of people were coming in... We had wisely reserved ahead of time as, due to the popularity of this little restaurant, many hopeful passers by were unable to get a table. Very professionally run and all to a very high standard. Starters of gazpacho and salmon were excellent as were the main courses of fillet of lieu and stuffed aubergine. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely calm atmosphere. Pleasant to be inside with air con rather than sat outside with small wobbly tables elbow to elbow with fellow diners. Essential to book as we saw half a dozen groups of people turned away. Food was beautifully cooked though menu was a bit predictable and safe. So nice ambiance, well cooked food but not exciting choices.

Our friends recommended we book supper here during our honeymoon. They had arranged with the hostess a card and bottle of champagne for our arrival. The food was very good and the setting quiet, intimate and romantic. We didn't get around to enjoying the wine list after arriving to our bottle of fizz, but at a glance it looked local,... More
