Lovely setting. Good food and good, friendly service. We had not read any of the Trip Advisor reviews before visiting. Checked them out after returning to our hotel as they had been mentioned by the proprietor. Our group of four enjoyed scallops, ravioli, chicken livers and lamb - all well cooked and well presented. Lots of veges. Only disappointing thing... More

This was without doubt one of the best dinners we've enjoyed in our many years of traveling to Europe. Imaginative, seasonal, fresh, perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, generous portions, absolutely delicious, relaxed and creative atmosphere, all complemented by George and his delightful border collie Gaspard. Well worth the price, which we found to be quite reasonable by local standards and excellent... More

I rated this two stars purely for the entertainment value. I sometimes read reviews and think 'oh it mustn't be that bad...' Or 'maybe they are exaggerating...' Please on all accounts, the reviews on this restaurant are true. The food is fine. Home cooked meal at best. Way overpriced. The service is probably the worst I've ever experienced. Although we... My three local friends and I had booked a table. I was the only non-french speaking person and the first one to come in. The owner, who was engrossed in a conversation on his mobile phone, opened the door abruptly and asked me what i wanted. I felt like I was intruding. After two words of English, he interrupted me... Extremely over-priced for a restaurant, in which a grumpy owner takes orders in his shorts, and screams at his employee while the customers dine in the cheaply decorated space. Also, isn't charging 5 Euro for tab water in carafe* almost a fraud? We didn't say anything when the owner, at the end of the meal, called 5 Euro for the... More

We went here after reading The Guardian review and on appearance it's great although it almost feels like it doesn't know if it wants to be a modern restaurant or an old restaurant. The food was pretty average and to be honest I'm not so sure that even knew what it wanted to be. There were too many flavours in... More

We found this little gem late after arriving from lyon at 21.00. The service was very accommodating and everyone took time to talk and ask us where we came from. The food was really amazing using fresh local ingredients and lots of herbs.. no dish was ordinary and everything was full of flavour and a visual treat. Well worth looking... More

I went here with some friends on a day trip to Avignon. We found its charming entrance after looking around and reading the trip advisor reviews, we thought this must be worth a try. Big mistake! It took 30 mins to get the surly waiters attention, and another 15 for him to back with just the drinks. At this point... More

Don't be fooled by the looks of this unassuming restaurant with it's cute outside decor - the food is truly amazing! Our starters included the rissotto with flamed scallops and fried vegetables which was heavenly - distinct fresh tastes brilliantly combined! My husband loved his crab stuffed ravioli. Our relatively picky daughter (12) was very pleased with her goat cheese... More

We dined in the 'courtyard' (really a small alleyway) leading to the restaurant. Both the restaurant and courtyard are decorated (if that's not too methodical a term for this) with random items and plants, like a delightful junk shop. We were served by a man who spoke little English - it turned out he was married to the chef, Marie.... More
