we enjoyed a fabulous lunch here in their garden. This is a very high quality hotel and is not cheap but offers a good value set lunch menu. The three course menu was wonderful but the extras of amuse Bouche and pre dessert took it to another level. The young chef is really earning his stripes and will very soon be recognised for... Love the ambiance at what was formerly a 14th-century cardinal’s mansion. Service was superb, a stark contrast from Christian Etienne. We told them we had to leave by 915pm and asked if that would was possible based on the degustation menu we had selected. While they said it was possible, we were highly skeptical because based on our dining experiences... More

We stumbled upon this little gem by accident since we figured that if the hotel offers cooking lessons, the food must be pretty good, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant offers moody lighting in a well air-conditioned room (~19 degrees Celsius, according to Michelin guide) for you to enjoy your meal in. We tried the 9 dish sample course,... More

Our B&B owner suggested that we have tea at this place after visiting the Palace of the Popes since it is near the exit of the palace, and we are glad we did! Sit outside in the charming garden. We picked up a brochure and realized that they also offer cooking classes--this would be a great thing to book in... More

You won't be disappointed and if you are then you should have asked for help. Great staff, very helpful, rooms were pleasant, clean and quiet at night. So close to major shopping areas, minutes walk to several streets lined with shops, museums, the Popes' Palace and more.

Cooking and eating at 'The Chef's Table' at La Mirande was a really enjoyable experience. Firstly, the venue is very special; a kitchen in the basement of a 14th century house with 19th century cupboards and a wood burning stove to cook on. There is even a Roman well. The very extensive wine cellar is accessed by winding stone staircase.... More

Dear Mr Williams, we thank you very much for this very nice review on the chef's table. Your comments give a very accurate description of the atmosphere in our historic kitchen. As Mrs Stein, our owner always says : "Les murs de La Mirande sont des murs heureux" - what we could more or less translate with "La Mirande is... More

Ok, yes, it's a 'must visit' on the foodie top 100. But seriously- it was an underwhelming experience. Service was weak, no attention to detail, torn seat cushions, servers who had to be promoted to describe the dishes. The food? Seems that the Chef just purchased a Slurpee machine, so 3 of 7 courses had some form of slushee... On... More

The wine, food and cooking experience at the kitchen table is beautiful. Severine Sagnet, the Singing Chef, did a fantastic job. The big wood filled stove was used which was fascinating. The wine cellar was not to be missed. Make sure that Severine sings for you.

Dear Guests, we thank you very much for this kind review on our chef's table, located downstairs, in the historic kitchen. Severine Sagnet, whom you called our "singing chef" cooks every tuesday and wednesday night on the wood burning stove, a 4 courses menu decided on the very day, at the market. As you said, this is a culinary and... More
