This was the best value meal of our trip so we returned twice in four days. It comes out of the same kitchen as the 2 michelin star restaurant next door and you can tell - high quality ingredients cooked very well. The first time...More

Loved this little place we stopped in Arles for lunch. Hands down the best meal we had during our 2 week stay in Provence. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Pate and tapenade and then the duck and potatoes - wow. Very tender and...More

We found this restaurant based on a recommendation in Rick Steeves' travel book. It was a very big disappointment. We were the first ones to be seated in the evening but after two hours had only received water, a soup starter, and wine. We had...More

My girlfriend and I visited Le Bistro a Côté during our tour of southern France and had an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and recommended a great wine. Service was prompt - unusual in France - but not at all invasive. I have to...More

Visited on a recommendation from the Hotel Nord Pinus. Staff were welcoming, but the place lacks atmosphere. We had no lighting other than a candle and could barely read the menu. Regarding food, it was difficult to find anything I really wanted on the menu....More

We went looking for some of the top rated restaurants near our hotel on the south side of Arles and found many of them closed in August or closed by 9:00pm. We passed by the A Cote before, but at the last minute, they could...More

Food exquisite. waiters are caring, easy going and smiling. The location is very French style. I suggest to book a table always in advance, even few hours before. Nice conclusion for a visiting day in Arles!!!

You need to make a booking to ensure that you get a table here. I'm sorry we went to the effort. Compared to other restaurants in Provence this was average. Service was slow and staff looked very under pressure which created a poor atmosphere in...More

I read this review in Rick Steves and I am forever thankful that I made a reservation at this fabulous restaurant by Jean-Luc Rabanel. The terrace was lovely and intimate. The menu was tremendous. I had a heavenly vichyssoise, the perfect salmon and an apricot...More

I had high hopes for this place because it is a less expensive extension of the top-rated restaurant in Arles. It is located on a quiet street (Carme) only a minute's walk from the main boulevard (Work down Wilson Ave, take first right and next...More

The Bistrot À Côté was created in the fall of 2007. It is located a few steps from the Workshop. Jean-Luc Rabanel drew on his memories of childhood and his early years learning the kitchen to create this open and friendly places. The chief, declined by its culinary philosophy in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. It uses its producers always to reinterpret the everyday traditional dishes, childhood dishes of those who were lucky to have a mother or a grandmother who could cook. Le Bistro joined Gault Millau in 2008 (2 toques) and the Michelin Guide in 2009. In 2013, A Cote was awarded a Bib Gourmand.
