We had a delightful lunch at this cozy restaurant. The service was extraordinary and the menu, though limited, was excellent. I ordered what I thought would be a very predictable fish dish, but was surprised by how unique and delicious it was. We always try to avoid the usual, sloppy tourist fare, and would definitely come back to L'Autruche. It... More

We have been living in Arles for about six weeks now. Eaten at a good number of cafes, bistros and restaurants. We had heard L'autruche was good, so we walked in on the night of the Fete de la Musique. I cannot say strongly enough it was our worst dining experience so far. Took forever to get anyone to bring... More

We have eaten at L'Autruche a few times when in Arles, to try as much of the menu as we can. It has a menu with focused choices meaning the quality of each meal is not rushed but has a lot of attention to detail and flavour. The hosts Ourya and Fabian always recommend a great wine pairing to go... More

We were having a day out in Arles, visiting museums and chose this restaurant from reading reviews on Tripadvisor. It's a small place seating about 30 people. Looking at the menu we thought the prices a bit steep for lunchtime, but having said that, the food proved to be very good indeed and the wines were of good quality. There... More

We found this place in the maze of the old town. The lighting is very bright and the decor, modern minimalist. The focus is on the food, which was very good. The staff really distinguished themselves by their response to a near allergy incident. I was exhausted, starving, incoherent and hadn't properly explained my tree nut allergy. Our waitress removed... More

Delightful lady possibly the owner looked after us so well. The service was excellent, the food limited in choice but delicious and the ambiance was modern yet intimate. We would recommend this gem again. The wine was a little expensive but overall a good evening.

A bit out of the way but worth finding. The menu is limited fitting the small space. However the food is brilliant. The service is family warm. The owner is delightful and attentive. The room is warm and welcoming. We'll be back soon.

Truly wonderful food in this small restaurant run by a husband and wife team. A small menu but perfectly chosen ingredients with a myriad of taste bud treats!. our host graciously explained everything in detail on the menu and the service was exemplary. Michelin style dishes beautifully presented so don't come here if you want massive platefuls of nosh. Highly... More
