This is by far the best place to eat in La Rochelle! The service is exceptional, I can say that as I've been in the catering business for 25 years. The food I will not comment on as it was absolutely perfect! Atmosphere, food quality...and friendly service is what you're looking for, then this is it! Lovely place by the sea. My husband and I both had moules frites and they were really fresh and tasted amazing. Even the frites were great! The dishes being delivered to nearby tables looked wonderful. The service was very friendly and paced perfectly, they were...very attentive but also didn't rush us at all. Outstanding. Fresh seafood that exudes taste and flavor. Excellent knowledge from friendly and helpful staff. We were all extremely satisfied with the different dishes we tried. The oyster tasting selection plate was an eye-opener!

After trying oysters several times in the past and failed to enjoy them, I thought I must give it one last try. They don't serve only one so I ordered the 6 (Number 4). We chose bulots and half a crab each as a starter, followed by mussels. The bulots were OK. The crab was obviously a whole one cut in two ... fine. Except, it was also obvious that the shell had already been split from the carcase,...and what do we find? Literally, not much. Most of the body meat had been removed! When we complained, the explanation was that female crabs have much less meat! So for our €8.90, we basically had a crab claw each. TOURIST RIP-OFF! The mussels were OK, but the accompanying chips were our worst so far in la Rochelle. Our Ti Punch cocktails were bitter as hell, something missing there, furthermore, avoid the pichet of vin blanc, rhymes with plonk, and it was horrible, I can buy vinegar for seriously less than €18.70. Service was fine. If you must eat here, do it first, you'll enjoy decent meals elsewhere even more.More

Waiter really told me to f* off after a little conversation if I may leave the bicycle where it was and where it disturbed noone. Instead I moved the bike and my bucks to a friendlier place

We went here on our final night in La Rochelle based on having walked passed previously and seen the seafood platter then checked on trip advisor. We didn’t have a booking, but were quickly seated, but unfortunately our waitress didn’t make us feel very welcome....Language differences didn’t help, I absolutely do not expect everyone to speak English, but would expect her to slow down and speak more clearly to give my rusty French a chance! The food was good, with the platter and mussels we ordered being tasty, but service continued to be rushed including attempting to order a second bottle of wine being ignored and plates being cleared despite some of us still eating. Once we finished our meal we eventually found another waiter to bring our bill, paid and left. It was a shame, if the service had matched the food the review would be much better.More

Had a wonderful evening and an exceptional meal here last night. This place was highly recommended by La Rochelle locals - with good reason. Incredibly warm friendly and obliging staff and superb food. Excellent value for money and perfect location.

The food was excellent, especially the mussels. Our first bottle of Rose was awful, the second good. Stay away from cheapest. Good service, friendly staff. Not cheap but would return.
