The food here was very tasty from the mackerel terrine starter, to the trout main and melting chocolate dessert. Lovely combinations of flavours. There is a very good wine list and we were were well advised by the owner. All in all a great experience.

I have been here before, about two years ago, and have not been since partly due to the fact that I am never sure when it is open. Decided to have a lunch at Le Pot de Lapin, and we were not disappointment. We decided to have some Tapas and the boudin noir tart to share as part of the... More

We were seated and waited a while (10 mins) before anyone came back to the table and offered us anything..no drink offer,,, no water...that set the scene from a service perspective. I had to ask for the wine menu - and ask for some advice -- then ask again - by the time our wine finally was delivered we had... More

It's refreshing to see a chef taking a new view on traditional food, and that's what we see here. A brilliant and interesting menu of tapas, entrees and mains, wines sold by the glass and also an extensive wine list. Definitely deserves its great rating. Only improvement would be consistency of staff - the manager knew his wines and food... More

We came upon this place as it was near the apartment we were staying in. What a find. Wonderful local produce. An extensive menu with several choices for vegetarians which is unusual in France ! Very extensive wine list and helpful staff.

While visiting Saumur, we headed for this recommended Resturant. Located in a little side street near the river, Le Pot de Lapin serves traditional French fair with a modern twist. It was busy but we were able to get a table for our group outside. It's an idealized setting with the beautiful architecture of Saumur on show around us. The... More

We went for dinner one night. This was after trying to walk in the previous night without reservations. Since we could not get in, we made reservations for the following night. Definitely need reservations. Lovely waitress who was most helpful assisting with the menu. We had the pea gazpacho and salmon for starters. Both were good. For mains, we had... More

Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely food and wine. We ordered one main course which wasn't what we expected, and it was replaced free of charge without hesitation. Would highly recommend.

We chose this from previous reviews and its close proximity to our hotel, it did not disappoint. Good choice of food well explained to us that cannot speak French, by excellent manager/owner. It was very popular and full by 8pm so I recommend you book, we managed to book on the day but I suspect that is not always the... More

French traditional cooking. Large range of local wine available with meals and to buy. Restaurant in a quiet street on eastern side of the town. Lovely atmosphere. Medium price.
