Almost everything else was closed, but Joe Carpa was humming. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Good food - especially the carpaccio, cooked-on-a-plate beef steak, and cheese course. OK wines. €110 for 2.
Located right next to a main hotel and sharing an entrance during evening service times this restaurant offers a good range of dishes and is lively and reasonably friendly. I chose a nicoise salad which was delicious and the draught beer was good.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was as described and very tasty. Eaten with local wine at a sensible price. We ate in a Michelin * restaurant last night, it was very good but not sure the 60 euro hike over Joe was justified.
While the restaurant was really busy the staff were indifferent in actually providing a service, preferring to spend time talking. It took more than 20 minutes before we were finally served. I had the petite Magret duck Brest while my husband had the Aussie burger....More
