My husband had read about this restaurant and wanted to try it during our recent trip to La Baule. It turned out to be one of the best meals of our holiday! The lady owner is obviously passionate about quality and service and I would imagine runs a tight ship! It pays dividends as the standard of cooking is excellent... More

Small cozy restaurant with excellent fresh sea food, good selection of wines, excellent service. Advance reservation needed. Highly recommended.

There is simply no better restaurant in La Baule or along the entire southern Bretagne coast for that matter. Madame Claudine, who runs Le 14, is a gifted restauranteur who intuits and practices the art of haute cuisine. She and her team offer the finest dining experience to her customers. Anyone who visits La Baule and is interested in a... More

A serious seafood restaurant, with Madame presenting a tray of all the fresh fish and seafood (raw) on offer on their specials blackboard that evening. We treated ourselves to starters and mains from the specials. All ultra fresh and tasty. Service was efficient, but also took itself very seriously. Tables were tightly packed. Wine list was limited but reasonable value.... More

My wife and I dined there a friday evening - very small, and quaint restaurant. Remember to reserve a table for the evening service in the weekends. Our waitress showed us a large tray of fresh fish to chose from, very nice touch - and reassuring that they stand by the freshness of the produce. We had the sole meunière... More

Small but nicely decorated room with a terrasse for summer months, this place offers all the food ans service quality you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. Local Palace hotels restaurants can't match this experience. Definitely the best restaurant in town for fish and deserves a visit from any gourmet traveler in La Baule.

Even in September, when La Baule is winding down the summer months, and all of the other restaurants are slowing down, this restaurant remains lively and animated, with delicious food and positive vibrations. As a vegetarian, they made up a very good vegetable plate, my friends loved their seafood, and the dessert was wonderful as well. The only caveat: Bringing... More

We asked our hotel for a recommendation for a seafood restaurant and they suggested 14 Avenue. We were delighted they did. As other reviewers have described, the meal begins with the presentation of a platter of all the fresh seafood available, and a blackboard list (extensive!) of the day's special entrees and main courses. The combinations of favors is inventive... More

Wonderful fresh fish. Cooked to perfection, served in an unpretentious way. Follow with the lemon tart, a deconstructed triumph! Worth it to book a table. Best meal we had in La Baule.

Outstanding but unpretentious fish restaurant. There was a lively Friday night atmosphere sitting out on the terrace. Choose the fresh fish from the plate Madame brings round at the start. My cod and my wife's sole meuniere were perfect and our shell fish starters also outstanding. Nor do you need break the bank if you go for the 31e Menu.... More
