From start to finish, one of the best meals I have had in France. The fish and vegetables tasted so fresh. The desserts are not to be missed!!

Food was really good with a choice of a la carte or a set menu. All reasonably price. Waiter spoke good English. Good atmosphere.

We ate at Auberge St-Maclou on our final night in Rouen (and at the end of a lengthy European trip). We had a reservation and were quickly seated at a table for two, and enjoyed our meal - the Fish Soup with Aioli was delicious as an appetizer, and I liked the Chicken Fricassee and my husband, his Coquille Saint... Called in on the of chance...we were welcomed and shown to our table in this busy, smart & clearly popular restaurant that had a real atmosphere/buzz. Friendly, helpful staff served beautifully cooked 'pave de Lieu Jaune' and a huge 'Magret de Canard' with a selection of cheese to finish. Good selection of wine - we sampled two different half-bottles with... More

having read amazing reviews about this restaurant decided to have lunch here on my last day in Rouen. Went for the daily special as did my husband we didn't know what they were exactly as menus in french and waiters' english was limited, however they turned out to be soup - both lovely - mine had a perfectly cooked poached... Forget about the Michelin-starred restaurants. This is the place to eat at if you want a taste of Rouen and what great food means. I was floored by the eggs with creamy foie gras and the risotto with girolle mushrooms, which beat another similar dish by a more well-known establishment by a thousand miles. Most charming servers to boot. All... More

Book a table here, now! The young, creative team will make your dinner memorable. Mine, Coquille St. Jacques Carbonara with a soft-cooked egg in the middle, was outstanding. For starters, I indulged in Ris de veau en brochette which were amazing!! I don't have them often but had a hunch they would be prepared well here; they were. Dessert: Baba... More

We were staying in Rouen for just one night, and chanced on this brilliant restaurant in the old city of Rouen, just next to the cathedral - you can't miss it. We were SO impressed. Our waited spoke brilliant English, and really seemed to WANT to explain his menu to us. He could not have been more helpful. There is... More

Right near the Aitre St Maclou in a street pretty much lined with restaurants. Lovely old building with a "modern" feel inside due to the large framed photos on the walls and clean dark wood furniture, despite the small rooms and beams on show. Service was friendly and prompt. Menu had lots of choice. The set menu is always a... More

We were recommended this place by the delightful young receptionist in the Mercure Hotel, where we were staying, as we did not want to eat in a tourist trap restaurant where the food is mediocre and the prices eye watering. We were delighted with the suggestion, the food was excellent and they even served Saint-Emilion wine by the carafe and... More
