Though I live in the UK, Rouen is still my home town. I had a birthday celebration here, a few days ago. The place is small, cosy, private, soulful and the manager is a real star. The creperie is located away from the more commercial area of the "Vieux Marché". Try a good crepe (savoury or sweet) & cider, ice... More

I ate at La Cornaelle tonight and was extremely satisfied. Please take my rating as one of a non-crepe expert, as this was only the second time I've eaten at a reputable crepe place. I had the St Amand Crepe as my main course...very hearty, VERY large, good flavor with potatoes and ham. I'd rate it a 4+/5- on a... More

We asked for a table for two inside, the inside was empty. The party of four before us were offered inside or on "the terrace" they chose the terrace, but we were told there were no tables available inside, just the terrace?? The (not overly-friendly) waitress allowed us to walk away. Very disappointing having researched the web beforehand and choosing... More

We had lunch for a family group of 7. We took the formulae at EURO 8.9 which gave us a savoury crepe, green salad, and a desert crepe or ice cream. Crepes included Andouille, Camambert, Emmental etc. Service charming and flexible and would recommend to anyone!

Food quality was ok. Preparation classic. Quality of service was poor. They were pushy in obtaining an order and then got it thoroughly wrong. They normally serve an amuse bouche to their diners, if they were French, only French. They offered a very poor cheese course to us, but a different rather lovely one to the French patrons. The whole... More

The group I went with had mixed opinions on the crêpes. I liked the Saint Hilaire crêpe. The crêpes are made with buck wheat. The cider was amazing. However, overall it was a little over priced.

My La Pucelle crêpe was very good indeed when it arrived. However, we waited about two hours for our food to arrive. We were offered free coffee in the way of compensation, which is a nice gesture, but at that point it was so late that we didn't want coffee so much as our beds. I don't think this is... More

I have tried to walk in here a couple of times at lunch and it was always mobbed and now I know why! Excellent value and quality. Yes, it is simple but what they do they do very well. I had a galette with cheese, egg and chorizo followed by a crepe with chocolate, washed down with a glass of... More

Came here for dinner. Overall a solid bet- not especially cheap, and portion sizes a bit on the small side in my view, but nice food, (especially the desserts!) good service and a good location.

Fortuntously happened on this charming creperie for a late lunch. The Galletes are large and very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient. Would go back given the opportunity.
