We ate our first lunch in Rouen at Brasserie Paul in the Cathedral Square, and as it was a Sunday (a tough day to find places open) it was packed. A server showed us to a table right by the door, so we caught the wind every time it was opened (we should have asked to be moved, others who... More

In this Brasserie, you can have a fast and delicious meal, it's a bit expensive though. But Paul is very famous in France for its high quality products. If you want to eat faster or cheaper, just go to the bakery side

After a bit of indecisive wandering around we decided to eat here and were glad we did. I wouldn't say it was the best food ever as the chicken was slightly chewy but we had the 25 euro set meal each and really enjoyed it. It had a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and the waiting staff were friendly and... More

On the corner of place de la Cathedral this art deco brasserie is a must do when visiting Rouen. Evening service starts at 7pm but we arrived earlier and had drinks. Several local families were having drinks (their kids were having ice creams) and some ladies were finishing a shopping trip with coffee and an aperitif. The maitre d' was... More

As the hotel in which we were staying (Hotel Notre Dame) was a hotel garni, we needed to find a French restaurant for our evening meal. We finally decided to try Brasserie Paul near the cathedral and we were not disappointed. The food and drink were much appreciated, but the main attraction was the to-ing and fro-ing of the waiters/waitresses... More

We have visited France for 3-4 weeks almost every year for the last 9 years and eaten set price menus in many restaurants . We've never had a bad experience till last night. The food was very poor quality and the service was indifferent. I suspect that Paul trades on it's location, close to the Cathedral, especially when the Son... More

One can't go wrong in France with the restaurant serving the best Ile Flottante in town. Even their Sauce Bernaise was special. I paired my Normande chicken with the best ever green salad, perfectly dressed. Can't wait to return! Outdoor seating is available, too, in view of the Cathedrale.

The view of the cathedral beautifully illuminated from the front terrace of this brasserie is memorable and there are no complaints about the helpful staff who will do anything to help but the food is not especially exciting, our chicken and mushroom was adequate but hardly more. it has good wines at reasonable prices and is clearly a popular and... This is a convenient and nice location. Large area inside and good facilities. The food and service were very good except that the croque monsieur I ordered had puff pastry and no ham, so I am not sure what it was but it was very nice. Fine for a good lunch stop

This brasseria is worth a visit due to it's old fashioned atmosphere. It is also clean and nicely furnished. Also the location is perfect next to the cathedral and some shops (although they were all closed since it was a public holiday). The menu has good number of choices and the 'plat du jour' is a good value for money.... More
