As the hotel in which we were staying (Hotel Notre Dame) was a hotel garni, we needed to find a French restaurant for our evening meal. We finally decided to try Brasserie Paul near the cathedral and we were not disappointed. The food and drink were much appreciated, but the main attraction was the to-ing and fro-ing of the waiters/waitresses... More

We have visited France for 3-4 weeks almost every year for the last 9 years and eaten set price menus in many restaurants . We've never had a bad experience till last night. The food was very poor quality and the service was indifferent. I suspect that Paul trades on it's location, close to the Cathedral, especially when the Son... More

One can't go wrong in France with the restaurant serving the best Ile Flottante in town. Even their Sauce Bernaise was special. I paired my Normande chicken with the best ever green salad, perfectly dressed. Can't wait to return! Outdoor seating is available, too, in view of the Cathedrale.

The view of the cathedral beautifully illuminated from the front terrace of this brasserie is memorable and there are no complaints about the helpful staff who will do anything to help but the food is not especially exciting, our chicken and mushroom was adequate but hardly more. it has good wines at reasonable prices and is clearly a popular and... This is a convenient and nice location. Large area inside and good facilities. The food and service were very good except that the croque monsieur I ordered had puff pastry and no ham, so I am not sure what it was but it was very nice. Fine for a good lunch stop

This brasseria is worth a visit due to it's old fashioned atmosphere. It is also clean and nicely furnished. Also the location is perfect next to the cathedral and some shops (although they were all closed since it was a public holiday). The menu has good number of choices and the 'plat du jour' is a good value for money.... More

I had a very enjoyable meal here with a friend whilst in Rouen recently. We sat outside with a fantastic view of the cathedral. Whilst not cheap it is not expensive eiher and we certainly got very good quality food and drinks and of course, the view adds to the experience. The set price menu which is available in the... We had lunch on a Sunday in July 2016 at Brasserie Paul. The restaurant is located on the Cathedral square and has a nice terrace. I prefered the inside with some memorabilia of the restaurant history. We had the lunch special, beef cheek, and "tête de veau". Both were tasty and well presented. As a bonus, the food came quickly... More

As typical in France on Sunday it's quite difficult to find a restaurant that's open. We saw this one on a stroll in the afternoon so we booked a table for the evening in case it was busy. The food was excellent and at a reasonable price. The service from the staff was very attentive. We had a very enjoyable... More
