The church of Saint Maclou in Rouen is one of the prettiest in this city of churches and if you pass down the left hand side (facing the church entry) you'll find dome of the best restaurants in Rouen side by side, The first of these, La Walsheim, offers outdoor seating, a deceptively large interior and a huge list of... We stopped in Rouen for lunch on our journey home, and were delighted to find this restaurant during our walk around the old quarter. This is a large restaurant with a very varied menu. The quality of both service and food was excellent - I had a wonderful saddle of lamb, while my wife had one her favourite French dishes... More

Varied menu. Good service. Portions rather large and a little too much for me, resulting in wasted food.

We ate outside on a warm Friday evening, really good food, great staff and atmosphere. Location is memorable and i would personally recommend a visit if you're in Rouen for a few days.

About a dozen of us ate outside at this restaurant, just steps from L'Eglise St. Maclou in July, 2014. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. It was a most memorable experience. One note - Our waitress was outstanding. Her English was superb. She was fun and friendly and seemed to truly enjoy her job.

Charming atmosphere that mirrors the cozy feel of Rouen. Most patrons dine al fresco. It is crowded, but that is expected in Europe. The inside decor is unique and clean. You will wait a tiny bit, but the wait is worthwhile. Waitstaff works hard & food is fresh. Near where St. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake &... More

Next to the old church of St Maclou. Extensive menu with reasonable prices and friendly service. Open on Sunday evenings when most places are closed. The only possible complaint is that a small glass (25cl) of Leffe beer is E 5 which means the bill mounts rapidly for four tired and thirsty wanderers....

Well located in the centre of Rouen next to the Church of St Maclou. To eat inside a medieval building was a great experience, but sufficiently modernised to be fully acceptable. The staff were excellent, especially when we wanted to change tables, bearing in mind a langauge difference! Food was served promptly and was well presented - tasted good too!... More

Went on a Monday night when there is limited restaurant's open. Average service, over cooked steak and fish. Strange decor.
