Lovely dinner outside in a sheltered courtyard , catching the breeze on a warm summer evening . It was very quiet being a Wednesday but could not fault the service- the lovely waiter chasing me into the street with my camera i had forgetfully left behind. ( i was driving so this wasnt alcohol induced) The food was great -... More

Happened to find this restaurant by searching the Internet 'Fine Dining in Rouen', this restaurant did not disappoint. The entrance is through a small courtyard of a beautiful old building with the interior being intimate but relaxed with a good space between tables. All staff were extremely professional but also very friendly. The menu had an excellent selection of food... More

Tucked away in a courtyard of a half-timbered house in the old quarter of Rouen, with a charming room with a view over another courtyard with a mural of Flaubert ( the famous writer - also from Rouen). The service is impeccable without being snobbish; a variety of tasting menus to suit various prices and well priced and varied wines... More

This place is the ultimate high end formal old fashioned French restaurant. The food is well presented and very tasty and the service is formal but genuinely friendly. A real treat if you want to sample the best.

Nice restaurant hidden from la place du vieux marché. Overall a good experience. But the chairs are not comfortable. Service is very good and friendly.

We visited this restaurant with friends on a recent trip to Rouen on a warm summer day. As they were not busy, we were offered a choice of table,- inside or out in the delightful garden. We chose to stay cool in the lovely wood-beamed dining room with its air of calm elegance. The service was polite, friendly and not... More

Very nice gourmand dining in the old town. Several menus at dinner (website accurate at the time we went; http://www.lesnympheas-rouen.com/gallery.html). Conventional well executed dishes; roast marrow with asparagus starter was exceptional, stuffed lamb saddle a tad overdone, definitive cheese board, and smartly executed desserts. Service utterly professional, but not in the least condescending. Bordeaux/Bungundy-centric wine list, reasonably priced. Maitre'd guided... More

First of all let me make clear that this review is not about the food at this restaurant as we never actually got to eat any! Our hotel booked a table for us for 7.30. We arrived a little early at 7.20 and was greeted with some confusion as the waitress did not know what table to put us on... More
