We booked this restaurant based on the reviews. It was certainly popular and fully booked when we left however the one next door was almost empty. We opted for the smaller menu. If you are big eaters or v hungry then I suggest you go for the more expensive menu. We both chose the fish which was tasty and moist.... More

Lovely food where you get a taste of Normandy. We all had the pigs cheek which was lovely. Portions were not too large which meant you could have 3 courses.

In our two visits we had tripe stew (superb), boudin au cidre, fish, mussels and pork cheeks braised in cider. Always with a big bottle of local hard cider. Every dish was excellent as was the service. And, for dessert go for the roasted peach and ice cream served on an amazing beurre sales.

This restaurant serves nice Norman food at fair prices. On the night we visited, the restaurant was parked & the service, though efficient & polite, was visibly tense because of the pressure on staff. Not the most relaxing meal. Probably picked a bad night.

The food however was very disappointing and the service brisk, to the point of being rushed. Wines are relatively expensive and poor value. We came away feeling that it was a tourist trap. Tried oysters, weren't impressed.

Had a fabulous Normandy meal. Braised pig cheeks, different types of fish, oysters. 16 euros for 2 courses, 22 euros for 3. Reasonably priced wine. Good quick friendly service.

Cream. Seafood. Apples (grapes don't grow well in Normandy but apples do - try some Calvados (CAL-ve-dos) - apple cider). Normandy is known for these ingredients and Au Bouillon's menu reflects them well. Started off with a Campari and soda to whet the appetite. I appreciated the gougères and the cantaloupe they brought at the very beginning - nice added... More

Au Bouillon Normand gave us good, honest food at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the terrace where we ate had a good atmosphere. We chose the slightly more expensive menu (30 euros) but it still represented decent value. I started with 9 oysters which had a great flavour and texture. My main course of Seafood... More

My wife and I had an excellent seafood lunch from the 30 euro menu. We ate indoors and the service was prompt and the food delicious. The fresh oysters were great as was the seafood stew and veal with a special sauce that was incredibly delicious. We would come here again.

We were taken there by friends who live in Honfleur and regularly use this much in demand local establishment. I opted for oysters, followed by a white fish which I know to be sea bass but described as something completely different in English and then wonderful local cheeses. The place was full and although we were not rushed, they were... More
