This restaurant has a traditional interior, but we chose to eat outside - the perfect place to watch the world go by. My wife had the 14.40 euro menu, which she rated as better than Les Mouettes, with vegetable crudites, excellent saumon a la crème and superb chocolate mousse. I opted for the 28 euro menu, and had an enormous... More

Our hotel was restaurant-less, so a search of town was required to locate somewhere decent for dinner. A walk down by the fish market delivered a range of tasty looking spots which had to be reduced to a shortlist of one. After looking at Le Central, Les Vapeurs and La Marine, amongst others I decided on Le Marinette because it... More

Another favourite restaurant and I ate twice here and the same menu as I enjoyed it so very much! Not an expensive menu but absolutely delicious. I chose the set menu and had egg mayonnaise for starter, there were several more exciting alternatives. Followed by the most delicious salmon in a white wine sauce as only the French can do!... Hopefully our dining experiences here will improve. I ordered the special, coq au vin, it was very dry with small amount of sauce and some pasta which was cooked adequately. Small, Unimaginative salad for accompaniment . My husband had a dry roasted chicken,no sauce and adequate French fries. The chocolate mousse was fair. Our cafés arrived very late, apparently you... We decided to have dinner inside the restaurant and got a table just next to the kitchen and the antique roast oven which was nice formthe sight but at the same time rather warm. I didn't have a starter. As a main, I picked the sole meuniere. Didn't like it that much. First of all it was floating in butter.... More

I think it´s best to avoid this row of tourist trap restaurants. Cheap they are, but food tasteless. (Excuse me. I don´t include the the more expensive places in the strip. I have not tried them.) There are places around which have worse food than Marinette. Sallad Nicoise was fresh, but a bit rough. And lacked in taste. Gambas was... More

Twelve of us turned up without a reservation as lunch service began. Tables were quickly pushed together to accommodate us. The waiter smiled and joked with everyone and made this a memorable lunch. The food was excellent, and at only 14€ for three couses was fantastic value for money. The restaurant is very centrally located, right across from the car... More

Really great food and wine for reasonable prices. I had the salmon, which was the best I've had in a long time, and my husband had the andouillete and potato gratin, both of which he was very happy with. He is French and gets this sort of sausage in a lot of restaurants (it's a little too adventurous for me!)... More
