We wandered down a narrow street and found this unique wine bar. It is small and most people had reservations but we got seats. We were served wine without looking at a menu for prices, and had charcuterie and cheese. The bill was much less than we expected.

We tripped over this place on our way to the ferry and had a very tasty light lunch. The Snails were very tasty and the accompanying red burgundy, recommended by our host was lovely. Great place, only 4 stars because we only had snacks.

We stumbled across this fabulous little place in Bayeux last week. What a surprise! The food was amazing as was the wine. The host was very helpful in helping us with the wine choices. What an amazing little find. I would very much like to visit again soon.

OMG! We were so fortunate to happen upon Pierre Henri's restaurant. It was truly a highlight if our stay in Bayeux. Not only was he fun and welcoming, the dinner was divine. Please do not NOT go here. It was a great experience and one that will make us want to return.

Lovely place for dinner. The guys had great wine and great recommendations to pair the food with the wine. We found the Vin du jour to be spectacular. So much so we stopped the next night and bought another bottle! They do retail sales for wine as well. Their English is spot on and are very accommodating and kind to... More

Our guide recommended this place and we were not disappointed! We loved the host/owner who spoke wonderful English, helped us with our food and wine selection and gave us wonderful service. We thought the menu choices ample and interesting. Great location, right near the cathedral and Hotel Mathilde.

My boyfriend invited me out for dinner at this small restaurant and we were met by the most friendly and service-minded host. We had the most wonderful evening with delicious local charcuterie and cheeses and a very good bottle of red wine, simple and perfectly fresh. As a starter we tried some local ciders, which I can only recommend. This... More

10 of us went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the concierge in our hotel. We all enjoy French cuisine and wine, so this sounded perfect. How wrong you can be. There was no main course menu you had what the Chef was cooking that night. It was pork and not good, the sauce was far too sweet and... More

Le Volet qui Penche is a wine shop by day and an inspired restaurant by night. The owner and wait staff made us welcome and explained the menu selections. We chose the local fish (shark with a chorizo sauce) and the beef Bourguignon, and the owner helped us select a wine balanced for both selections . The meal began with... More
