Awesome pub atmosphere! Great food! Right across from the tapestry museum; had the toastie (basically ham and cheese sandwich) and the speceloose crepe and bacon cheeseburger, wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff, great location, such a charming place!

5 euros a pint and its the p[lace to be in the evenings. Great staff and only 5 euros a pint. Had live music on and the atmosphere was terrific. The only reason its not getting 5/5 is that when we ordered food they said they were too busy...in other words they just couldn't be bothered cooking it. h well... More

We had a drink here one evening and were so impressed with the staff that we went back the next evening for our meal. English menu, good for a rest from French when away, we usually allow ourselves one english meal! Average prices.

I found this place via TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint! My son and I dropped in to Bayeux following Le Mans and we're keen to find somewhere to watch the football. They had a large projector screen and we got good seats. More importantly, the staff were super friendly and accommodating of customers requests throughout the evening. The crowd... More

A big warm welcome from the owner and all the staff. Had a couple of night in here whilst stopping in Bayeux. Try the bottles of Cider served with a tea cup, Reasonably priced drinks for Bayeux and a limited but very good food menu. Highly recommended if you are out for a night in Bayeux.

Had a couple of meals here whilst watching the football. The food is not cordon-bleu but akin to English pub fare - nothing wrong with that. The burgers and omelettes are very good. The owners and staff are very friendly and speak English if you're French isn't up to much. They serve Guinness (the best I've had outside of the... More

We fell upon this cafe while looking for the tapestry museum. We had a warm welcome, and a good cup of coffee. After our museum visit we decided not to trail round the city in the rain looking for somewhere to eat but returned to Le Conquerant. Once again a warm welcome and lovely lunch. Thank you to all.

While staying in Bayeux in March 2016, we spent two entertaining evenings at Le Conquérant. It’s a gathering spot for Anglophones passing through Bayeux. Its friendly staff are a mix of French and Irish. On our first evening, we chatted with a high-spirited stag do (i.e. bachelor party) from England. On our second evening, we discussed politics with three gents... More

English is spoken here as the sign that greets you suggests. Very friendly service with good food. Cheese omelette was very good. Pleasant atmosphere after a long day and train ride from Paris.
