We had heard of this restaurant from the owner of the house we are renting and read about it in the Michelin Guide. Finding it was a bit tough as it is down an alley. Anyway, we arrived 15 minutes prior to the end of the lunch serving time but were ushered to our table with smiles. We chose from... More

This may be the best restaurant in Bayeux but I couldn't say that for sure because I didn't go to them all. the menu was adequate but not extensive. the service was quite good and the food was very good traditional French. It didn't stand out which was why I didn't add the 5th star. But it was very good,... More

great atmosphere. everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. there were 3 levels of price-fixed meals that offered plenty of diversity. great wines and a regular menu to order from. it was a little bit hidden down an alley, but this probably added to it's charm.

Going through all nice ratings on this place, I had wanted to try there long. It's accessed from an amazing ruelle in historical Bayeux. Staff is nice and friendly and takes time to explain the menu to foreigners. The food itself is not bad but not really original and really overpriced given the location and the ingredients. I would advise... More

Highly recommend La Rapiere for that special splurge night out. A little pricey but very worth it, the experience begins with discovering the entrance in a bit secluded passage. Very fun, small, and complete with lots of detail in the decor. The food was very delicious and the service was exceptional! Reservation is a good idea.

Our B&B host we made a reservation on our behalf at this restaurant for our final evening of the visit to Normandy. Although we had some incredible meals, this one was the best. They have three prix fix menus offering wonderful selections for each menu. My wife choose a delicious mushroom/zucchini/brie starter , followed by a chicken with a coconut... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at La Rapiere our last night in Bayeux. The meal was fantastic. The ambiance was very nice as well. It is not inexpensive - but then again you don't go to a place like this looking for an inexpensive meal.

We had a bit of trouble finding it, but glad we persevered. the food was outstanding, one of the best meals we had while in Brittany and Normandy. Great foie gras and lamb. Thought it could easily earn a star. Recommend highly.

Very nice prix fix menu and friendly gracious hosts. We had tiger prawns and foie gras, with duck for our main course. A bit noisy due to the very small room - a bit unlucky to visit when another group was being very loud.

We loved the food here and Linda, the owner, made it so enjoyable as she added information about ingredients etc. in perfect English. My husband and I had the fixed menus without drinks and our total bill was €72 for delicious 3 & 4 course meals with white linen cloths and great American country/Rock music. My husband had sea bass... More
