Great lunch, well cooked, some interesting beers

Really enjoyed it. We had a Savoyade Gallete which was superb, great bread and interesting beer. Would go there again. Great setting by the river, the conservatory is the best place to sit. Friendly waiter.

We had a group of 8 and had the most wonderful time here. The food was fabulous..I think we ordered just about everything on the menu. If you have to eat in one place in Bayeux...THIS IS IT! The scenery from the outdoor area will make your trip! A+

We ate in this restaurant on a sunday evening. The place is nice and their speciality are crepes. We had two of them (with potatoes and normandy cheese) and good cider. Not expensive and the quality of food is good. Recommended for typical crepes!

Loved this place. The setting is lovely, especially for lunch outside. The food was so good that we went back a second time. We lived toe semi sec cider. We drank a bottle each time we were there. The service was so nice and he remembered us on our second visit.

Glad we chose to reserve an early dinner time to enjoy the lovely setting. The service was quick and friendly. My galette was pushing ok. I had the chicken galette and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. My husband really enjoyed his "hamburger" galette. The wines were very reasonably priced, as was the food. Very casual place. It could... More

We had a very nice lunch here - galette forestier. Outstanding service, great views of the stream, and very good food. Well worth the time.

Okay, the second best place to get crepes in all of Bayeux. But it is the prettiest overlooking the river that runs through the center of town. Gets very busy in tourist season, but the galettes are reasonably priced and delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Galette Complete' for breakfast on our last day in Bayeux. Galette is a buckwheat crepe, covered in cheese from Normandy, thin slices of ham and an easy over egg. I had mine the traditional way with a glass of cider. We ate outside with a view of the tiny river Aure. Lovely restaurant, great service and... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after visiting the Bayeux Tapestry museum. It is on the tiny river in Bayeux so recommend only going if there is nice weather. They offer galettes (like crepes but a little heavier in texture) and other dishes in a nice atmosphere. It was busy but such a pleasant atmosphere.

We were glad to find this place on a very rainy day after visiting the Tapestry museum. We were able to find a table just before it closed at 2pm, but while the service was quick we did not feel rushed and our crepes were the best we had on our recent two week trip to Normandy. It was a... More
