After a recommendation from our hotel and seeing the restaurant was in the Michelin guide, we were quite excited to enjoy some regional specialties. Unfortunately, Le Pommier fell far short of expectations and is the first Michelin guide restaurant I've been disappointed by. From poor...More

We were very pleased that even without reservations the staff was able to immediately seat us at a comfortable table. Our dinner was delicious as well as a beautiful presentation.

We spent one night in Bayeux and selected this restaurant on local recommendation. We were extremely happy with our choice. This was the best foie gras of the trip - truly outstanding. We both had pork tenderloin and, for dessert, profiteroles and apple tart. All...More

I wish there was something positive I could say about this restaurant, which was by far the worst meal of our 16-day vacation. We went here on the recommendation of our inn keeper, unfortunately cancelling our original pick which - no doubt - would have...More

Got in to Bayeux late and this place was still open after 9 PM. Filled with Americans. Nice service. Lovely food. Great snails and fish and a nice wine. We were very satisfied. Worth a second try.

After checking into our hotel, enjoyed our first meal here. Lunch was fantastic; the seafood was stellar. Had we had had more time in Bayeux, we would have returned for dinner! Excellent service, intimate, well appointed dining areas and wonderful menu selection...so many choices!!!

We were able to get a table without a reservation, which was very lucky. The place is charmingly decorated and the food was beautifully prepared. Wine list was nice as well. We had wonderful fresh oysters and tried some local specialities as entrees. Great!

Great place to go for French cuisine. Not the cheapest in town, but worth a stop. Nice presentation, good service, nice selection of wines

Le Pommeir was good but not great. Maybe it was because we had a better meal for half the price the night before in the Mt. St. Michel area, I can't give it more than 3 stars. There are probably less pricey and equally good...More

Description
The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical. The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them. Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances. Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing. Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel. And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert... It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.
