Overall we were very pleased with the food and wine that we were served at the outside table, this restaurant is a bit pricey and serves food in the posh nosh style, therefore I consider you need three courses to properly satisfy your appetite. I would have given 5 stars if they had offered us water for our dog.

As a Director of the National Army Museum in London, I am pleased to report that a beautiful lunch was enjoyed by our patrons during a trip to Normandy to survey Operation Overlord sites.

We were referred to Le Pommier by our hotel, Villa Lara. We had an excellent table looking out on the street. Our waitress did not speak very good English but the owner came over and took over. He recommended a very reasonable wine after we told him what we wanted and it turned out to be a great choice. My... More

We entered to a warm dining room where a central fireplace divides the room into two smaller parts. The tables were a little close together and the restaurant was full on a Monday night. We chose this restaurant because they offered a traditional Norman menu and the Norman specialties seemed to be their strength. I was able to order Tripe... More

we ate there for dinner. we could ask questions about wine and gastronomy. staff are nice. the atmosphere, decoration, lights are pleasant. however we didn t find our menu exceptional or very different from a normal restaurant. i believe we were expected much more according to the reviews on tripadvisor. i took oysters for the "entree" and two hours en... This restaurant was a large disappointment. Tourists were guided towards the closed veranda, whilst other (native) guests were guided to nice tables inside the restaurant. We ordered an aperitif. I got a glass of white Martini with 1 cm liquid, not cooled. I had to ask ice to cool it down which made it taste like water because the Martini... More

The food was very, very good, but the service was lacking. I had to ask for my aperitif and check multiple times.

Hotel Lara recommended this restaurant and it was a good choice for us 2 couples. Three of us had the €25 three course menu, and every choice was reportedly delicious. I had the raw vegetable starter, daily white fish, and Creme Brûlée. All were delicious. Service was excellent and the noise level tolerable for us old folks. With 2 bottles... More

We ate here our first night in Bayeux, took a 3 course dinner for 25 euro. You can't expect miracled for that price and indeed that didn't happen. However the food was good for the price, free warm bread and tap water.

This sweet little place is a great dinner date spot if you are in town. It's quiet. You can sit on the terrace and just enjoy yourself. The reason I give it a four is because the service while everything French should service should be, is a bit lacking. They do everything right except when they do something wrong. To... More

Description
The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical.
The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them.
Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances.
Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing.
Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel.
And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert...
It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.
