This restaurant was one of the better meals in Bayeaux , but not the best. Service was good, meal was good, but not outstanding. All in all enjoyable but not terribly remarkable.

Le Pommier was recommended by the concierge at our Bayeux hotel and it was exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed wonderful, briny oysters and a terrific escargot appetizer. The wine list was broad and with the help of our server selected a wonderful wine. Service was excellent and still unintrusive. Perfect for our a romantic evening. Our French was wanting,... More

On first visit we sat in front room just left of entrance door. The room is extremely well decorated and the seating attractive and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent and creative. Of note was dessert of Apple sherbet with baked apple bits underneath and presented with small glass of Calvados which you... More

Our Hotel sent us here and I am so pleased they did. The atmosphere was buzzing and the food delicious! I usually do my own research and book myself using Trip Advisor as a guide, but decided to give this way a try. Although there were plenty of tourists here there were also many locals! A lovely open fire that... More

Four of us had dinner one evening at Le Pommier while in Bayeux. The restaurant is charming, three of our meals were good, but the forth meal looked unappetizing and my friend didn't care for it (a white fish with white sauce). We made reservations a few weeks in advance and while there were open tables in the front area... More

Our first exquisite meal in Paris. Le pommier was recommended by our Normandy tour guide and it did not disappoint. Excellent service and outstanding cuisine. It was also the best bottle of wine we drank during our entire 4 days in Bayeux. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Make reservations as it is popular.

Our innkeepers at the marvelous Hotel Poppa bed and breakfast recommended this restaurant, and it was the best place we ate in the four days we were in Bayeux. The menu was large, the wines were good, the food was very good and there is nice outdoor seating. There is also seating inside if the weather is inclement. Make a... More

A nice restaurant. But a bit pricey. The staff were very good and the food was nice. The menu was quite varied and there was something for all tastes. As I say it was a bit pricey.

The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical.
The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them.
Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances.
Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing.
Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel.
And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert...
It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.
