We went for dinner and had a pleasant evening. Tasty tartare and carpaccio. A large and affordable wine menu (France, how could that me different…lol)

Lovely ambience and service with great food, our waiter was superb. Tables a little close, but, no wonder, as it is hugely popular with locals which, to me, is always a great recommendation.
Weird experience on booking - we could not do so online as it said the place was fully booked, but we turned up anyway and gained a table at an almost empty restaurant. Interesting menu, the menu at 21.90 looks a steal. The staff were...somewhat disengaged, but the food is stunning. Beef carpaccio, and smoked herring were both superb. Tuna sashimi salad and scallops were both immaculately sauced. This is a chef that knows his onions - and his other veg.More
The menu is vast and choices difficult, our problem. English language menus available which helped. Food was good but overpriced, my lotte was cold in the centre but the waiter was too busy with his French clients to pay me any attention. Perhaps more staff...are needed as it was very busy. My pudding was amazing and I gallantly struggled through it! Hopefully next time we visit it won’t be so busy and the waiters can do there job properly.More
The food here is excellent, the service is sadly terribly inconsistent. We’ve eaten here many times and had some great and not so great experiences. Tonight was particularly bad, it’s never great when you have to threaten to walk out to get the restaurant to...bother to accept your payment for a great meal but that’s what we got tonight. Bizarrely hostile and pointlessly and needlessly argumentative. What a shame, the food is great but not sure we’ll be back.More
After a disappointing meal the previous night at supposed high end restaurant we stumbled across this place. We were fortunate they could take our booking for 11 and we were not disappointed. Decent food at a reasonable price. Everyone was satisfied with their meal. Lovely...relaxed decor and vibe with excellent service. This is the type of restaurant which makes you smile when you recall the experience. Would definitely recommend.More
I recently dined here with family and was very impressed. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Very attractive building and a good atmosphere. Highly recommend
Very pleasant lunch in the old town. Enjoyed the two course EUR 20 special of herring salad and tagliatelle with smoked salmon and cream sauce. Simple but very nicely done. Friendly service and a reasonable price. Not especially busy on this mid week visit.
Excellent fresh pasta. Go here rather than the touristy places nearby. We had a lovely meal here when feeling a bit tired and unable to find a good restaurant
Thinking this restaurant would be crowded for dinner I booked a table for the evening for my wife and I. In the event the restaurant was not full. We went on a Thursday; maybe not a popular evening to eat out in Lille!! Our dinner...was very good. I had excellent lamb and my wife a good carbonnade flammande. The crème brulee for dessert was to die for. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.More
We went to L’Orange Blueue on a Saturday evening. Although the place was really full, the waiters were really friendly and really reactive. The wait for our food wasn’t long and the food itself was great. A great recommendation for a couples night out or...an evening with some friends!More
I enjoyed my monk fish and my wife’s lamb. She didn’t enjoy either. She did enjoy the profiteroles. The service was exceptional, they were very attentive. Good food and great service
I was surprised when we arrived as the place was empty and felt cold. We arrived around 7pm but with 1 hour the place was full. The food was first class and the steak one of the best I have tasted. Seemed to be 2...people serving the bar and food., which slowed down service but the setting was relaxing and we had company, so good to sit and talk. Lovely setting and well laid out.More
Nice restaurant with a good choice of food which is not too expensive. We had main dishes of lamb and fish. both were really tasty but lamb was excellent. The portions were big so we only had one pudding to share. Glad we only had...one to share as it was large but good quality.Nice wine but not cheep.More
Seated after short wait, found service intially slow, but then fine once the foos arrived. we ate from local menu, food all great except the basket of bread was stale and rock-hard. Enjoyed our evening here and would return
