Looking for an Irish pub we found Tir na nog. Nice looking pub with an Irish barkeeper. Good choice of beers. Dinner from 7.30pm: burgers, fish and chips, meat, fish. We drank a beer and ate a burger. Good quality. With 5 persons we paid...less than 100 euro's. We were satisfied and had a lovely dinner time.More

As we pastby during lunch time we only had a glass of wine. But the menu looked promising so we booked a table in the restaurant for the evening. You only can enter the restaurant at 19h30, if you're early you need to wait in...the pub. We ordered our food first but didn't got it first, we had to wait a long time. When the food was ready I was chocked! I ordered an Irish steak but only got a tiny piece of tough meat on my plate. Next to it I found one cooked patato. That was it. I had to pay 17€ for this. It was more a starter then a main course. No excuse from the waiter. And yes, I ordered "well done" but good quality meat can handle this. The plates during lunch time looked much better.More

This Irish pub was very French. We called in for a drink on the way to dinner. At the front entrance there is a bar area and the rear room is a brasserie. There was a good range of draft beers and the wine menu...was chalked on the board. There is a good atmosphere, it looks like an Irish bar, but it has a character all of its own.More

Having had a heavy day walking around Roubaix and Lille, an early evening 'sharpener' location was called and this corner situated 'pub' fitted the bill perfectly for a couple of pre-dinner drinks. Our group of three decided on French Lager rather than the 'Oirish' beer;...however, at the bottom of the Beer Menu chalked on the wall board near our table, I noticed what appeared to be a local beer called Picon. Little did I know that I'd let myself in for a treat by ordering it. It turns out that Picon is an aromatic cordial that can be added to both Wine and Beer to enhance the taste. It was so successful that we all a had a couple more small glasses of the newly discovered mixture. With regard to the premises itself, there is a smallish triangular bar just as you walk through the front door (see in the title picture), at the back of that is a small seating area with a rather impressive modern wood burning fireplace, which leads to a much larger open areas with plenty of tables and chairs for the food being served or for sitting and watching the large screens showing football and/or rugby union. In addition to the seating inside there are a collection of sturdy wooden picnic tables around the outside of the building for those who wish to smoke or drink outside. There is also a dart board inside for those who want it. The feeling of an English/Irish pub was successfully achieved with just enough French flavour to make it interesting and different. I would happily return so it's certainly recommended.More

This is a proper Irish Pub selling Irish Beers (Murphy's,Kilkenny) The service was very good and the Barman was Irish with fluent French. The prices were reasonable and the food is good. The pub is tucked away in a quite part of the City but...well within walking distance of the City Centre.More

Service was very good - bartender with excellent English explained the different beers they had on tap and was very helpful. Nice and cosy sitting area with a large TV to watch the football. Ideal pub!

Was here for the Ireland v Italy game, I can understand that it was very busy however they were so slow! I queued for 30 mins only to be told that they were out of magners (a note on the door or wall would have...been a good idea). I went back the following day and the same thing (still no note)...We returned there after the match only to find out that the place was closed because of "blocked toilets"More

I was invited here by a colleague who is from Lille. It's her favourite Irish pub here. When I mentioned to a friend that I was going to an Irish pub, he said: oh, you must be going to Tir Na Nog! So yes: it's...a well-known spot. It's a very cozy little pub, especially on a cold autumn evening! There's a real fireplace in the centre of the main room, giving it a really cozy feel. There's a large screen TV playing sports in the main room (I was told this pub gets extremely crowded if there's a popular sports game on; you've been warned!). All drinks were averagely priced for the area. We got a nice mixed party-plate of fried food (onion rings, fish sticks, chicken wings, etc.) which was just the right snack for our party of 5-7. After 19h there is only service at the bar (no more table service)More
