My wife and I have been visiting Roi de la Moule for around 20 years, or longer. We have a holiday home in Malo and it has become a favourite for us and our family. Our sons visit it now, as does our grandson, and it continues to impress, not only for the undoubtedly good mussels, but also for the... More

We were turned away from the Moule Rit which we had recommended to us, but it was full up. So this was our second choice, and they were full as well, but booked us a table for 9pm if we had a drink and came back, it was much less busy then. Despite that, we still had to wait for... More

Treated to a delicious lunch at this beach side location which specializes in the local Dunkerque mussels and other seafood dishes. A real treat.

Great "moules", offered with a choice of sauces. Plenty of "frites" to go with them. Each bowl is around 800 grams so you won't leave feeling half full!

Well, the woman who hosted our stay said Le Roi is expensive and more upscale than some of the other seafood restaurants along the coast, but coming from London - we thought it was an exceptionally good deal. My husband did have a wonderful - possibly one of his top 50 or so - meal. He ordered one of the... More

We have eaten here on a few occasions and never been disappointed. The waiters are really helpful at advising on choices, and well known for its moule Frits, it has an excellent fish menu. Friendly, great location, and good value for money. Definitely worth a visit, but you may need a reservation.

I enjoyed an excellent serving of mixed seafood, including mussels, razor clams and other unknown delicacies. The sauce was fantastic although my French is not the best so I'm not entirely sure what it said on the menu but my taste buds detected a delicious, creamy sauce with cider or some other boozy accompaniment mixed with a typical grainy mustard.... 10 of us dined here, the waiter was attentive and polite. The food was excellent, the mixed grill was very nice, if you are wanting a big portion then i would suggest to have a starter too. The sole was also good, there were no complaints from anyone on the table and they all enjoyed it. For dessert i had... More
