It started off badly, when we were left to out own with no wine or food for some time. We then very quickly chose our meal option, then asked the waiter for wine selections, he had no,idea, but did not refer us to the somelier....More

Lovely atmosphere, great service (including chatting with M. Sarran). Don't take your car as the wine is to die for!

While in Toulouse we had a spectacular lunch at Michel Sarran. The four of us had the 3-course Capitole lunch with wine -- for the first course we all had the egg/avocado/tempura vegetable dish, then on to duck magret or a white fish with crushed...More

I found a bit awkward the fact that among a perfect lunch in the most famous gastronomic place in Toulouse (South west France ) I had such difficulties to obtain a decent local red or white wine. This region is rich of quality wines. One...More

Greeted at the door with well spoken and helpful staff. Seated in upstairs dining room that had 6 tables. Plates arrived one after one, each prepared with inspired creativity. Each dish was unique with perfectly balanced flavors. Portions were just right. Food and wine pairings...More

I felt every detail was great in terms or food and presentation. The chef is amazingly approachable and sincere.

the restaurant can be found in an unassuming street, in an unassuming part of town. I don't think you would pay it any attention, unless you were looking for it. entering reminded me of the experience the travellers get in the film Shangri la.(howling winds...More

This is an excellent restaurant with attentive but discreet staff. The courses reminded me of picnics to the south of France eating fresh seafood over little fires at Dramont in Provence. Each course was a delicious and evocative elegantly presented dish, with just the right...More

had the "accord mets-vins" menu (meal-wine combination) that enchanted my taste buds. Refined, researched and blooming... all the sensation are present. It is a well deserved star restaurant, perfect for special occasion or for fine cuisine amateurs with a fat wallet.

Description
Michel Sarran restaurant in Toulouses charming old town is a townhouse eaterie that boasts a pair of Michelin stars, understated warmth and style, and the most famous gastronomic name in the city. Michels wife Francoise greets you and shows you to the bubbling, modern ground floor dining room, the leafy terrace, or one of the more subdued, romantic first floor dining rooms. Sarran has made his name with ambitious, subtle gastronomy focussing on the best regional, seasonal ingredients: warm foie gras soup with Belon oysters, wild salmon cooked and cru with green curry emulsion and soba noodles and shellfish, chicken and egg with Aquitaine caviar. The lunchtime Saveurs menu is a steal. Wines and service are superb and the amuse-bouche delightful.
