I had been told about this little gem by a friend and made a post of seeking it out - I was not at all disappointed. This amazing little bar has been around for ever and it is little wonder it is so popular with locals. We only meant to stay for a drink and stayed for hours - it... More

The place is tiny but we were lucky enough to get a table upstairs. The food was amazing and the service slow but was absolutely fine for us as it made it even more relaxing. Probably the best meal we had in Toulouse. The cost was also low in comparison to what I would have paid for the same elsewhere.

This place is famous and established in 1789. It's tiny and I found it recommended on TripAdvisor. Yah it was fantastic. After a stressful drive finding it via GPS and then parking, God was on our side as there was one table left outside in the sun for us for lunch. We didn't have long but just devoured lunch. I... This is the kind of place that used to be all over France- wooden chairs out on the street, good, simple but tasty food, and cheap. Au Père Louis carries on this tradition, and adds great service to the equation. A mushroom omelette was just as it should be, and the kidneys in mustard sauce were sublime. There's a decent... old school wine bar, nothing really to it, standard stuff, good for sitting in with a verre for €3 a pop.

Great wines, great Jambon, great aperitif. Dont expect any fancy interior, or hip waitresses. Its a French bar to the bare bone,. Authentic and honest, no strings attached. And try the Quinquina apero with fusillade de Jambon. Destress totale!

We love this bar for the fact that it seems like it could have been there for years and years! (Maybe it has - we've never asked). Inside, there are barrels to stand around as one tastes the range of wines on offer - or even the 'quinquina' that seems to be a speciality. There is the possibility to sit... More

This bar just exudes authenticity starting from the beautiful decor to the friendly barman who although did not speak much English managed to suggest a beautiful light rose wine to start our evening. A great place to have a chat and a drink with friends in a place with style and atmosphere.

We had the QuinQuina - the local apertif - which has a bit of a medicinal quality. But, you can also get Ricards or wine. The owner was great with us, despite our lack of mastery of ordering in French. We grabbed a table outside and watched the city go by, but after dark, the inside bar looked great also.
